At this point I feel like Sony isn’t going to send it to staff to any public gatherings until the coronavirus has been stamped out.

Just a state of play would do. But yeah honestly I'm getting frustrated with Sony's refusal to communicate period, not just about PS5. I feel outright disrespected tbh.

@WebHead Disrespected? I think that is a bit OTT and over entitled. I really do not understand what the rush is. Just chill out, it will happen whenever Sony decide it is right.

@JohnnyShoulder
When even Nintendo, which has not done a great job recently as Nintendo fans are also starting to get frustrated, has better communication than the leader in the industry that is a problem. Skipping E3's, no PS Experiences, only 2 State of Plays, one which was horrendous the other that was mediocre. You can say it's 'entitled' but when people sink as much money into a hobby as gaming can cost, they are right to want to feel they get a little something in return. Sony doesn't have to operate on anybody's timeline but it'd be nice if it did something. It's frustrating, imo, because Sony was always the best at this until recently as new people with some bad ideas have taken over the reigns.

You kmow what fine. Sony as annoying as it may be I respect if you wanna wait another month or two to show PS5. But until then can you please give us a PS4 Sop focusing on TLOU 2 and GoT to give us something to chew on until then please.

This is some 1st world problem stuff right here...

I mean, i'm really excited for the reveal as well, but I'm not so much that the word "frustrated" would ever come up. Unless, the literal life you live revolves around Playstation (god help you if this is the case), then try to just relax, and be patient, the reveal is coming, and Sony will unveil it when they're are good, and ready.

I'd rather they reveal it under the right circumstances, than doing it because of the pressure of people who are moaning about feeling frustrated.

Had the pleasure of meeting PS5 at a charity do once. It was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.

@nessisonett Two sides to every story mate. I asked PS5 for its autograph when I bumped into it outside the Swindon branch of Paperchase, and it told me to shove my newly-bought biro up my arse sideways.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

With the coronavirus stuff we can probably forget about a PS Meeting this spring. If PS5 gets revealed during spring it'll probably be through an extended State of Play

@Grindagger well said. Reading the ridiculousness of people using words like "betrayed" "slighted" "frustration" in regards to the PS5 reveal I thought about how the last major console reveal went. The Switch was revealed in a 3 minute trailer in late October 2016, we didn't get full details until January 2017 and it came out early March less than 2 months later. That's 135 days from reveal to release, less than 5 months, and it's been the top selling console for months if not years in a row. People just need to be patient details will come when they come.

@redd214 maybe they should start playing Two Point Hospital lol.

@JohnnyShoulder lol they should play something! No shortage of games to play while waiting. The angst isn't going to make November come any sooner may as well get on the sticks and have some fun

I'm not just talking about PS5 when I say i feel disrespected. This year has been really negative in terms of sony. 3 cancelled events and so on. Their PR has been poor for the past year or so. Yes I know everything will be fine yadayada but that doesn't make it less frustrating. I am not fond of PS' new leadership.

@WebHead There’s kinda the whole coronavirus people dying thing. I’d say that’s as good a reason as any to cancel an event. Yeah, maybe I’m a wee bit disappointed but I’m sure I can speak for everybody here when I say we all have huge backlogs to get through.

@nessisonett and I get it. Its just had a lot of disappointing news lately. Patience is key but at some point it has to pay off.

@WebHead Apart from the cancelled events (which we can all understand why they were cancelled), what bad news are you referring to?

@JohnnyShoulder well so far Sop has been mediocre in their execution. A ND game getting delayed, as usual, possibility of PS5 being pushed back. And I honestly don't like Jim Ryan. He rubs me the wrong way.
