Anytime I see discussion on their next project, Demon Souls seems to be the most popular guess and feels like a guarantee to some people.
I'm just wondering where this confidence came from for this specific game and how legit it actually is. Based on their cryptic tweets, to me, it could be a number of titles so I'm asking why is Demon Soul's apparently the most likely game?
@aashna963 Well it is a good question and obviously pure speculation BUT I believe that Sony holds the rights to the original game and could remaster/remake if they wanted to. It is a game that a lot of Souls fans have never been able to play because of never having a PS3 and notoriously hard to run on PC (though possible). So releasing a new generation with the ONLY way to play the first game in a popular series might shift consoles nearer launch.
Bluepoint are big for remastering existing games and they would need to do a lot of quality of life changes for Demon Souls, as well as the online play so fits in with their messages etc.
Lastly I think From Software have also stated they have no problems with sony remastering a faithful version. I think
Of course, we also love to speculate. I'd be equally happy with a full remaster of lots of games. Die Hard Trilogy and G Police for the win!

I'm sure we'll find out when the PS5 advertisement campaign goes into overdrive, Demon Souls would be great I'm sure.
