Topic: What should I play next week?

As of tomorrow I will be off work for a week and, as my girlfriend is going to be up in Scotland visiting her family, I should have a good 5-6 days where I can cram in some real quality gaming time, something that has been seriously lacking for me lately! The only question is, how do I work out what to prioritise??

Bloodborne is first on the agenda, I have still got a loooooong way to go on that one, but I plan on hammering it solidly this weekend and hope to have it done by Monday (probably very wishful thinking there but we'll see). After that it's a real toss up - I've got Dragon Age Inquisition and FF Type-0 HD both sitting unfinished, and on top of that I've got a whole load to catch up on with my progress in FFXIV:ARR if I'm going to be even close to being ready for Heavensward when it comes out! I've also contemplated picking up The Witcher, but with several fairly sizeable games in the backlog I just can't justify that yet.

Any thoughts on what I should prioritise out of that little lot would be appreciated, as I have no idea where I'm leaning at the moment - I enjoy all of them, but don't want to end up dipping in and out to the point where I end up finishing none of them!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

I'd say get Type-0 polished off since along with Bloodborne it's probably the most achievable, you can then strike it off the list.

I'd also strongly recommend Axiom Verge, it'll take you 15-20 hours and I found it quite fun to play in conjunction with other games.

Ah but I'm less far into that than I am DA:I. I've already put a good 30 or so hours into Dragon Age, getting a little bit past where you move into the larger HQ in the mountains, whereas Type 0 I am only part way through Chapter 3. To be fair though you're probably right, as I've heard Type-0 isn't overly long?

I'm going to wait for the Vita port to surface for Axiom Verge, as I think that's where I'll enjoy it most!

EDIT - just had a look on HLTB, and I cannot believe that the average completion time for DA:I is only 44 hours. There are still about 7-8 areas I don't think I've even been to yet, and I'm already past 30hrs!

The other issue I face is that I was also planning on finishing off FMA Brotherhood at some point this week, and I've still got about 16 hours left to go with that!

I personally didn't like DA:I at all but that aside I still think FFT0 is the better bet in terms of just getting it polished off. Even though you might not be as far through it's pretty straight forward where as DA will have you running all over the place. Then maybe you can kick back with DA without the distraction of FF in the back ground. I did FF in about 50 hours over the course of a week, was fun DA could take you over 150 hours I'm led to believe, and if you're enjoying it I don't think you'll want to rush it too much.

Get FFT0, Brotherhood finished and clear your slate for DA

@SteveButler2210 There's a lesson here Steve, buy your wife a season pass to Scotland with Hotel DLC.

On a serious note get guacamelee before the end of psplus as its over in 8 glorious hours and is tons of fun. if I had it Bloodbourne would be the game I would play, as everyone has been raving about it.

I think you might be onto something there! And I've had Guacamelee for a while but only about half way through. I preferred it on PS3/V when it still had all the meme references in!

I'd go for Dragon Age and Witcher is another step up in greatness, there's a lot of humour to both titles in their dialogue, both very well written.

My best advice is just don't rush or make chores out of games, like "I need to finish X game in X hours". Just enjoy yourself and play what you feel like. Specially when all those games take a long time to complete.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Yeah it's now looking like all I'll finish is Bloodborne and then maybe get started a bit on something else. Not fussed by that though as I've had a blast with Bloodborne
