Topic: Twisted Metal for PS4

I have to admit one of my favorite Sony exclusive series has always been Twisted Metal. Since I never owned a PS3 I never got a chance to play the newest one but I was wondering will there be a Twisted Metal for the PS4?

I am not sure how well the PS3 one sold if it sold enough to warrant one on the PS4 or if it totally bombed. I remember playing Twisted Metal 3 and 4 on the PS and those ones were just bad so I am not sure if the one on PS3 were like those ones or closer to the first two or even Black.

Honestly if Sony did announce a Twisted Metal for the PS4 I would be all over that one no question asked.

So what do you guys think is there a chance that we will see a Twisted Metal for the PS4? Or is this just a dead series now?

I don't think there is a very good chance for twisted metal on ps4 but I hope they make one. Like you I've always like the franchise and I like the new one on ps3 also, Sony dropped the ball in it big  time with not promoting it all all it was doomed not to sell  a lot.

Thats what I was afraid off.  Well hopefully they will offer the older Twisted Metals on their download services.

Small chance: David jaffe doesn't work on the game any more and eat sleep play is moving to IOS development.

I thought it was a solid game (except for the races).  It definitely added the difficulty back in - I used to be pretty great at Twisted Metal 2, but this game destroyed me in the beginning.

Even though I liked it, I heard it didn't sell well (partly due to bad promotion and also the online was troubled in the beginning)...and like @Sanquine said, Jaffe and Eat Sleep Play are currently out.

I was a huge fan of TM 1, 2 and Black and quite enjoyed the PS3 game as well so it'd be great to see Sony continue it. As others have said, not very likely though. As great as the series was, especially in the PSone days, it doesn't seem to have that nostalgic appeal among millions of people like Mario and Zelda games.

Ressurrecting the topic, hehe... I was thinking about this series today. Sony should give it another chance, they were great games to play with friends.
