Topic: The Playstation Platinum Headset

Have any of you guys tried it? I'm considering buying one as a x-mas gift to myself but not sure if it'll much of an upgrade over the original PS Wireless Stereo Headset that I'm using... I do all my gaming with headset

I found the sound quality and 'surround' to be a solid improvement. It comes into its own with games that support 3d sound- especially VR. I also found the build quality to be better than the other headset.

I like it. The previous PlayStation headsets I've had were the Pulse and the 2.0/Gold ones. I liked all of them overall but the Pulse ones snapped after about 18 months of casual use (and were generally well looked after) so I then upgraded to the 2.0 ones, which I found to be more comfortable but didn't sound quite as good. I've found the Platinums to have better sound than the previous ones but they're not quite as comfy as the 2.0s.

I'd recommend them though if it's something you'd use quite a lot.
