Trico ate me...
This is easily one of my new favorite games of all time. I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed this game. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to ruin the experience for anyone. I don't think I will ever forget this one.
Simply a masterpiece.
To save our Mother Earth from any alien attack
From vicious giant insects who have once again come back
We'll unleash all our forces we won't cut them any slack
The EDF deploys!!
I've started it. However, I noticed my PS4 is humming real loudly. I may trade it in for a Slim since it's giving me so much trouble

Finished the game a second time. Just fantastic. Never played Ico, only saw a let's play of Shadow so I went in with tempered expectations, but they've been blown away.
I'm so excited to see what they'll do next. Just don't make me wait 10 years.
My only complaint is the trophy list. Seems like such a hassle to get the platinum, so I won't bother. Would probably end up hating the game if I tried.

@TheLZdragon: If it's financially viable, I'd recommend the Pro over a Slim. The game runs so much better on my Pro compared to my girlfriends standard PS4. You also getting higher quality screenshots/gameplay clips!
@Fight_Teza_Fight: Absolutely agree. As with Shadows of the Colossus and Ico, the devs must want you to hate the game by the time you get a plat. The "beat under 5 hour" trophy alone is brutal since you don't always have control over how long certain things take.
@Fight_Teza_Fight: Glad you enjoyed it - I can't wait to get mine on Christmas day
SOTC is worth playing on PSNow
@NathanUC: That's one of the trophies that put me off. A game like this shouldn't really be rushed through. Whilst Trico was always obedient as I took care of him there was one thing in particular he wouldn't do for me that took about 30mins in both play throughs.
@kyleforrester87: I'm holding out for the inevitable remaster/remake & or collection
I think you'll enjoy it, especially on the Pro. Only had slowdowns when you're around a lot of vegetation. Otherwise plays perfectly & looks incredible. Don't get me started on the story...that needs to be experienced.
@kyleforrester87: You're in for a treat. I guarantee you it'll make you feel guilty for not playing it sooner
@kyleforrester87: i started it yesterday and i can tell you its brilliant utterly brilliant im captivated which i knew strangely i would be drawn into the game
I finally got this game, can't wait to start playing it!

Finished TLG and wow oh wow its ending is truely phenomenal
A year after the last post in this topic, but at least I made it. I had this game in my library for way too long without ever playing it, but I finally booted this game up today.
It is already quite an impressive and unique experience. I'm still in the early stages of the game, so it's pretty hard to assess it already, but I'll keep you updated.
Love the bird animations and overall vibe of the game. And it's just amazing that between all the triple A violence, a game like this can exist!
@Kidfried I have it in my backlog too. I have been anxious to try it, but now we’re so close to Shadow of the Collosus that I think I may just wait and experience it again first. I don’t know, I can’t decide if I want SotC to taint my impression of TLG or vice versa.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Totally loved this game. Nothing quite like it on the PS4. That is until Shadow of the Colossus is out. The only game recently I got a similar vibe from was Zelda Breath of the wild.
I completed it this time last year, it's definitely in my top ten PS4 games. Only took me about a week and I haven't touched it since. I usually take my time with games, but The Last Guardian feels like some crazy dream I had.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
OK, so I played the VR demo last night as I have not played the full game and it was amazing. Such a tease for VR owners as it was spectacular. I kind of don't want to play the full game because I just want the VR version.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
Dang, this game exceeded even my wildest expectations. The story is so strong, it actually had me crying at some points during the game (which never happens to me).
Despite all its faults, conceptually this is one of the most important games of this generation.
@Kidfried Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah there are a few 'i have something in my eye' moments', especially towards the end.
@Kidfried Can't say it made me cry (I'm a pretty tough dude) but i'm glad you liked it haha. I agree it's excellent. Builds up to a fantastic ending.
@Kidfried Do you think it tops Shadow of the Collosus?
