Topic: The Grimmest Trophies on Playstation

Today I was mopping up some trophies, and there are some which are fun, quirky, challenging and to mark milestones. There are some however which are so mind bogglingly terrible like Resogun - dont let your home be hit for 5 minutes in commando mode or Peggle 2 - get 150 rainbows or Diablo 3 - complete 500 bounties. They are either the hardest thing since a coffin nail or take so long you could actually learn a language. What are the trophies which you hate? Try and be specific on the game and trophy if possible.

I thought the title meant 'grimmest' as in the most horrible actions that give you a trophy. Immediately thought of placing a prostitute on the train tracks in Red Dead Redemption.

I refuse to believe that is even possible.

Is Lunatic mode where if you die, game is over?

I'll take the Vita to the grave with me, even if Sony won't.

You weren't alone there, I totally thought the same.

I got 180 Rainbows in Peggle 2 to get the platinum. It's not hard though to be fair, but it does take a long time. Still, if like me you like watching colorful things bash into each other, it's no hardship.

There's a trophy where you have to unlock all attachments for all guns! There's also one where you have to max out all abilities!

Those trophies are the worst. Especially if you got into a match where people were obviously boosting and you wanted to play the game normally.

It's something we all like to think about.

Sorry grim means bad or rubbish up here (as well as evil and death and stuff) its a colloquial term. Didn't even think about it.... On new game plus 3 on rogue legacy and am still missing trophies - neo bosses they are proper grim.

FFX plat. Even with all the tricks in the book, the grind needed to gear up for Nemesis, and then to complete the sphere grid afterwards, was painful. I must have fought Earth Eater and Don Tonberry hundreds of times in a row getting that one.

Although not a set of trophies I personally have, I did consider going for the plat in AC Unity until I decided that I'd probably break down trying to get all those collectibles...

Currently working on FFX-2, where I'm hoping to do a 100% run first time round for Sweet Perfection. That trophy would be a serious headache if you had no idea what you were doing! I'm almost there, and will be seriously miffed if I get to the end and find that I've dropped a fraction of a percent somewhere along the way!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

Yup back to the beginning, I gave it a shot with the Whistleblower DLC and died halfway through. Considering that storyline is about 1/3 of the main story time, it doesn't look like I will be getting that any time soon.

I've had a pretty good run of it so far, I've kept a ton of extra saves, but so far don't seem to have lost out on any % so I haven't actually had to revert to an earlier one at any point yet. Having played through it all before though, I am using a simplified 100% guide to try and make sure I don't miss any of the essential bits! I actually think that the Last Mission might end up being the hardest part of the plat tbh though, as most of the main game stuff is pretty easy to get through with the right strategies, particularly near the end once it becomes easy to level up insanely fast without even trying.

Just remembered the real worst part of FFX though. The grind at the end had totally blinded me to the memory of the truly savage part - Chocobo Rider. That was one of the most frustrating trophies I've earned, and only a goddamn bronze too!

Thinking of other games again, I'd say some of the Sound Shapes Death Mode levels could definitely be classified as "grim". My Vita was lucky to survive...

So close to getting this the other night! I was at the last part where you come across Chris Walker. I have completed Whistleblower on Insane, though.

That's impressive! I don't know if I will ever have enough free time to devote to single sit downs to try and get this down. Congrats and good luck!!!

1 neo boss beat on rogue legacy, it only took 45 minutes of learning the patterns. There's a trophy to finish it in under 15 goes - that is impossible.

I am so god awful at Rogue Legacy that I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'm never going to finish it (or, y'know. beat the first boss)... Anybody who plats that game is a sheer genius. Same with Binding of Isaac, I normally get a few bosses into that before being torn to shreds!

just over level to beat the game first time I died 100 times. Pump up your strength, stamina and buy 1 boost, 1 double jump. Avoid syphon and buy a drop enemy level as soon as its available. Dont watch speedruns I'm sure they cheat with spot saves somehow because the moves they pull out are crazy.

That's nuts!

A waste of electricity, I remember the 12 hour races in gt. After 30 minutes your concentration drops and you just go through the motions, before eventually simming or switching it off.
