Along with what we know about the game now, and from all the good feedback on here, this video has really piqued my interest. It will most likely be my next game after The Outer Worlds.

I was still finding new combat finishing animations on my second playthrough. The combat can be frustrating but very satisfying when you pull off all your moves.
Not just saying that because it's (finally!) a Star Wars game with a Photo Mode, either. This thing has decimal-point fine-tuning for everything, including zoom, roll, filters and depth-of-field. Whilst it is missing a brightness slider, the combination of its low-key filters and exposure option more than makes up for it, and the whole thing is incredibly accessible.
Whilst I might've appreciated the chance to change Cal's facial expression, and there is a glitch where sparks and other lighting effects randomly disappear, I'm more than happy with it. Randomly ran around for an hour and captured this handful of shots already.

@RogerRoger i still haven't finished star wars, i got pretty far into it and loved it so much i didnt want it to end, so i started it over and playing through it very slowly, just taking everything in. Such a great game.
Worth the wait for the mode! Those are brilliant - obviously the cave is the money shot!
I think holding off on a photo mode, whether through lack of it being ready or not, is quite a good idea. Gives people the chance to play through without the time sinking distraction of making pretties!

Oh my those are some stunning pictures in the photo mode @RogerRoger ! The first, the third one with the lightsaber midswing and the hologram planets are particularly great to me 😁
... Also the droid reminds me a bit of Johnny-5 from Short Circuit in it's face...
I think you said you've played it through twice now. Did you keep the difficulty lowered on the story mode in second playthrough or only switch down when you reached those points you found tough the first time?

@ellsworth004 Wow, that's dedication! Hope you've managed to stay spoiler-free regarding the ending, as it's a doozy, and that you continue to enjoy!
@andreoni79 I'm playing on a PS4 Pro, so can't give you a definite answer, but whilst running about on one of the planets yesterday wasn't butter-smooth, it was smooth enough. There are still very minor framerate hitches, usually when rounding corners into new areas, but a lot of the worst texture pop-in seems to have been fixed (or at least, made less obvious). I can imagine there'll still be one or two patches to come, but it's much better than it was at launch.
@KALofKRYPTON Thanks! I actually agree. When I played Uncharted 4 at launch, I had to really fight with myself to complete a playthrough without activating Photo Mode, before then immediately starting it again and pausing every thirty seconds. As frustrated as I've been waiting, I think it was the right call.
And thanks for the praise! No, sorry, it's been Story Mode all the way for me now, and probably always will be. I just don't want to end up hating it again, because the challenge is prohibitive for me. Perhaps if I hadn't connected with the characters as much, then I might've treated it more like a game and kept at it, but I love Cal, Cere and the gang way too deeply now. Even on Story Mode, I still mess up occasionally!

loving this game. just finished ilum with my new lightsabre. i wont worry about photo mode until the story is complete and im going back through the planets to find all the stuff.
obviously i havent reached the end yet so i dont know how it plays out, but being set after order 66 and before ANH you would have think that if this Jedi was so powerful and existed at the time of ANH he would have been known.
obviously the ending of the game may explain it, but its hard to get my head around at the moment.

@RogerRoger im veey disappointed at this game not being nominated for any awards? I read somewhere that it had to release on or before the 15th, which is the day it released. So i wonder why. Do u think it was because of it releasing so late?
