@Rudy_Manchego My favorite guys were the Travelers. I couldn't beat a single Valkyrie of the ones I tried, seemed like you had to go farm and grind in those other realms to upgrade yourself and that's not really my thing. The travelers seemed just strong enough to put up a good fight w/o being insanely difficult to beat. And I liked how they went toe-to-toe w/ sword and shield, not buzzing about.

The game certainly had enough extra stuff in it, besides those 2 you had the 3 dragons, the ghost spirits on the beaches, the rooms the dwarves had to give you keys to, the pirate father and son. Though that one did seem a bit relevant to the story. Extra stuff is not the problem, not by a long shot, just the choice of boss - what did we fight him 3 times, only the first seemed like a good fight. I really liked Baldur, I wouldn't' mind seeing him get his own game, but he'd make a better antagonist for Dante in DmC than Kratos. Kratos needs a Hulk type tank, not a skinny guy who's all HP, no attack. Thor is that guy. And with all the 10 out of 10 reviews I thought thats' where we were headed. Had the game gotten 7s and 8s I probably would have been really impressed by it. Any less than that I wouldn't have bought it.

@KratosMD But they called this game God of War. To call the next game GoW 5 belies all reason. So would calling it GoW 2 b/c we already have a perfectly fine one of those. If this game should be called GoW 4 b/c it follows GoW 3, that's fine, but it isn't called that, it's called GoW. I was hoping the sequel would be called GoW:Asgard and would end there, but @Octane seems to think we'll get GoW:Fimbulvinter followed by GoW: Ragnarok. I'd be ok w/ those names as well if they leave out the numbers, though it seems a long way off.

@rjejr
God of War
God of War: Fimbulwinter
God of War: Ragnarok (99% certain on this one)

@Octane That's what I said.

Though to be honest, I could see them calling it "God of War: The Long Winter" rather than "God of War: Fimbulwinter". Say them out loud. Also, Game of Thrones. After the Thor movie everyone knows Ragnarok, so that's fine. I'm just not sold on Fimbulwinter. Sounds like a touch sewing game on Switch.

@rjejr I think they mentioned it in-game as well. It means ''great winter'', but I don't like the sound of that. They could always go with something cheesy like GOW: Revenge, or GOW: Return of the Kratos.

@Octane "GOW: Return of the Kratos"

GoW: Unleash the Kraken!

@rjejr Ascension is a spin off and not a numbered sequel. Just like the Uncharted game on Vita and why the PS4 game was Uncharted 4 and not 5. And why the Lost Legacy was not Uncharted 5. And I'm not 'giving out numbers to games' the devs themselves have said this is the next chronological game in the series and follows on from 3. Also search for God of war 4 on google and see what happens... I agree though calling this game God of War was a bit silly.

I thought the last fight was fine, hugely epic and not sure what else the could have done to top it. If there was another fight after with some throwaway character like you suggested it would mean as much.

The section on the mountain scattering the ashes was supposed to be poignant and not another eipc fight scene. Showing the giants all dead was intentional and if you had been following what Mímir had been daying he eludes to this. Again i think was judged pretty much perfectly and is part of what sets this apart from similar games.

@JohnnyShoulder "Ascension is a spin off and not a numbered sequel."

I can agree w/ pretty much everything else you said except for Ascension being a spin-off. I can't ever recall anyone every calling it that. I know it was viewed as a multiplayer GoW for awhile until all of the single player story was shown but after that I think it was just another GoW game, only a prequel. It was a prequel, hence not GoW 4 in the tile, but not a spin-off. It's too similar to GoW 3 to be a spin-off. A match 3 game or card game would be a spin-off. I'd say out of all of those Betrayal is a spin-off as it's a mobile 2D platformer. Even the PSP games aren't spin-offs as they played just fine on PS3.

@rjejr "In media, a spin-off (or spinoff) is a radio program, television program, video game, film, or any narrative work, derived from already existing works that focus on more details and different aspects from the original work (e.g. particular topics, characters or events).
