Topic: Smite OT

Smite is coming so thought I would make a thread so we can share experiences with the game. It looks like they are giving away a lot of the alpha/beta codes so if you sign up you will likely get one. I have a spare code if anyone wants one just leave a message and I will send it to you. Its alpha testing at the moment not sure how long that's lasting for the beta is in March.

Haven't played much of it, tried the tutorial and PVE arena mode but I found it pretty fun so far, I don't know how much I would play conquest but I can see myself playing arena mode often cos it feels more like team death match in MOBA form.

Right you lot! There's nowhere near enough activity in the thread so everyone needs to get their hands on an alpha code and start playing Smite straight away.

I can't keep playing with randoms, so chop chop, and lets get things moving around here.

@AlexStinton: I'm trying to get some alpha codes off the developer seeing as every other PlayStation site seems to have some! XD

I have been playing the game everyday for the last week really enjoying it. For an alpha test the game runs amazingly well better than some full release games. The game is easy to pick up and play but hard to master. I also like that your progress carries over to the full release so all the hard work put in now is not in vain.

@get2sammyb: It'd be really great if you could get your hands on some codes for the lovely Push Square community.

@AlexStinton: I tried for a couple of hours but that was only against the CPU, I'm probably just going to wait till the game comes out.

@adf86: Are you worried about losing progress? If I remember correctly all progression and unlocks carried over to the final release on Xbox One.

Well, now that @get2sammyb has managed to secured 4,000 Smite keys, there's literally no excuse not to be playing this MOBA.

Therefore, I propose a Push Square community 'Smite Night'.

So, if you fancy joining me for some MOBA action tomorrow night at around 9:00pm GMT, send a friend request to me (PSN name: Aphex666) stating that you're a wonderful member of the Push Square community, and hopefully we can get some games going.

I just got home and tried this game a bit. I will be honest and say the only MOBA I played was Heroes of the Storm so I am still a noob.

@AlexStinton: Any chance of you maybe writing up a guide for the site for new players? I tried it a bit tonight but I will admit I feel a bit overwhelmed.

I played it without any code, didn't like it too much. I like myself a nice MOBA though, still hoping for Heroes of the Storm coming to PS4 sometime in the future.
