@themcnoisy Yeah, I won't argue with that. I'm not a fan of the microtransactionbox fest MP has become in recent times.

@themcnoisy Sorry I can't choose that's like saying do I like comedy or action movies. It all depends on what I am in the mood for really. I enjoy multiplayer games like CoD, Overwatch, etc. whether it's online or couch co-op. Then again some times I just like a single player game like Assassin's Creed Origins for example.

So yeah I choose both and if I can't well then what's the point in gaming?

Counter-Strike and Ultima Online are the only two online games I've played obsessively, but they are so good and I had so much fun with them over a period of many years. They outlived any single player games I've ever played or will play, and they are still going strong with fans 15-25 years later.

Still not choosing, though

@Th3solution @FullbringIchigo Thank you. That makes it;

Single player 13
Multi player 0

@Tasuki @kyleforrester87 come on lads, jump out that closet and admit your dirty little secret that you both like multiplayer more.

@themcnoisy That would be like me saying I like chocolate ice cream more then vanilla or I like Pepsi more then Dr Pepper. I don't see the point in making people chose one or the other.

Obviously there is a market for both if single player games have multiplayer elements to it and vice versa. There's nothing sinster to it despite what you may think.

Single-player only.

I do enjoy Splatoon 2, but the internet connection where I live is somewhat spotty at times, and I got sick of having issues online (plus, it's not fair to other people playing with me), so I sold the game and moved on.

If I get MH World, I might play online at some point, although I'll plan on soloing it first (while the lack of portability is annoying, I do like that there's no separate online/single-player component now, as the multiplayer-scaled battles often took too long to beat with just one person).

So yeah, I'm 99.9% single player-focused as a gamer.

@Tasuki yeah obvious stuff like chocolate ice cream being way better than vanilla and pepsi battering dr pepper. They are obvious. I agree with all of them. So whats your choice Taz? You can do it!

@Ralizah vote makes it;

Single player 14
Multi player 0.2 (taz and kyle)

@kyleforrester87 I will be abstaining from the vote for now. But I will be voting. Mark my words. If only to keep this at the top of the forum postings on the main page.

@themcnoisy My choice is both. I couldn't be without either otherwise I wouldn't be a gamer. If I did single player all the time I would get so bored with gaming and same with multiplayer. After all variety is the spice in life!!

To be honest, if I had to just play one game for the rest of my life (and I have an internet connection, which wasn't an option on the desert island questions) I'd probably pick a huge constantly evolving online MMORPG so I guess, even though I don't play online games much (or at all, other than Destiny) since about 2006 I'd probably give my vote to online

But that's quite an extreme circumstance. Reality is I'd prefer a constant stream of quality single player games.

Single Player!

If a game has a good multi player (& I'm good at it ), I'll play it. It can be a fun experience to be had. However, single player games often offer me so much more.

@Tasuki fair enough. I will let this one slide. But absolutely pepsi is better than Dr Pepper. (I buy a 24 can crate of pepsi max every month to take to work)

@themcnoisy Coca-Cola is so much better than Pepsi though. (Unless it’s the Wild Cherry Pepsi.)
If Coke were a game it would be Uncharted and Pepsi would be like .... No Man’s Sky.

@themcnoisy Actually I switch back and forth between Pepsi and Dr Pepper when I get tired of one and binge on the other. Of course sweet tea beats both.

Ive always found coke to be a bit mundane in the flavour department. I would probably take Pepsi over coke but when alls said and done, Im not actually that bothered once its in a glass as it could be either as its getting drunk either way!

I am all about single player. Though I would prefer to change that to Single PLAYA because it sounds a little bit cooler, in the way a middle aged man thinks saying it would be cooler.

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot

@Rudy_Manchego Yeah, “single playa” implies something else entirely. 😂

Kidfried

@Rudy_Manchego Are you a single or a taken playa?

I'm voting for singleplayer here. Like everyone. I like local multiplayer whenever I have people over, although that doesn't happen very often. And I do play multiplayer games pretty regularly (Gwent might be the game I've put most time in on my PS4), but... if you add it up, it doesn't even come close to the time I spent on singleplayer games.
