Here's the problem: My internet speeds are no issue, but my PS4 is having trouble staying connected. It will be working fine then it will disconnect randomly (oftentimes mid game), kicking me from the game and PS party, and force me to reconnect to the wifi. It takes 30 seconds to reconnect, and then it works fine until it decides to disconnect again. Anyone familiar with this issue? This seems to have been a problem that has developed recently.
Here are some more details: I use an xfinity 5GHz wifi network that provides good enough speeds to stream and game all at the same time, but, as I said, it will randomly disconnect. I have gone back and fourth debating on if its an issue with my PS4 or my wifi network, and I think its my PS4. I have reset my router several times, and my brother uses an xbox on the same network without any issue. I have tried changing the DNS setting on my PS4 with no luck. I'm completely lost and would greatly appreciate some help.
Update: I switched to playing a game on my laptop for a little bit to do some tests, and i ran into the same problem. So now i believe it is my router for some reason
