Are any of the free to play games any good on PS4?

Loadout is pretty good if your into online shooters. Also DC Universe is decent.

WarFrame is awful. I tried it on and off for a few months and hated it.
I bought Destiny and haven't looked back. Well worth the spend.

Axiom Verge is most excellent. 11 hours in, lovely game so far, the kind of game I'd bother platinuming.

The thing that keeps me from getting it is how much it looks and plays like Super Metroid.

It could be a blessing but I've never actually played a Metroid or Castlevania game before! Although I've played a handful of so called metroidvania games so I have something to compare this with.

I'm really enjoying Axiom Verges atmosphere and interesting sci-fi storyline. The graphics are nice and the music can be pretty great. It's nice knowing it's all one guys vision, too.

Get it!

I have Super Metroid so if I want to play Axiom Verge I would play Super Metroid if that makes sense.

I guess. Dunno though, it has different levels/music/weapons and story so it's a bit like not playing say.. Tomb Raider 3 because you played 2 and the mechanics are the same. Would still say give it a go for the price, more so if you already know you'll like that type of game

As someone who's played both, I think it depends on how much you love the Metroidvania genre. Aside from a few tweaks, powerups, and new ideas, Axiom Verge is basically Super Metroid on steroids. If you want another game like that to dive into, then this is about as good as it gets.

Dear PlayStation,

I would love to see an open world game based on Dungeons and Dragons. The online games they have right now are not that great and I love the Ps game platform. If you guys could get a game similar to Shadows of Mordor, only with different classes, races, there could be a huge market for DLC, there is an endless expansion for this type of game, I would recommend the world be set in the Forgotten Realms, bring in the most famous characters like Dritzz and Elminster, It would be my dream come true! Thanks for your consideration.

Unfortunately we here at Push Square have no connection at all to Sony. You might have better luck with this request by actually contacting Sony themselves.

I would like to see this too. Dritz was my idol growing up in high school. Guess we will have to relive the 2.0 days through Baldur's Gate.

I recommend Limbo. The game is dark and creepy but easy to play. Good to pass the time and well worth the money.

I highly recommend guacamelee brilliant Metroidvania but give it 20 minutes as the opening is pretty lame. Once it opens up its cracking.

Anyone else enjoying Race The Sun? It's not a game I'm going to play for hours at a time but I'm enjoying in small doses.

I got it when it came out.. played it for a few hours but it's just really tough! I think I got to around zone 5 or 6. It kind of bugs me that the soundtrack restarts on each run lol

Sooooo........anyone tried Vanishing of Ethan Carter yet? Curious about that one.
Sounds like an amazing game, but the 'no hints' kinda scares me off....

@BlaBlaBla: I started this last night and am really enjoying it. I wouldn't be scared of the "no hints" aspect, as I have not found anything too challenging yet. Beautiful piece of work.

I can't decide between Journey, The binding of isaac and Bastion. All of them seem great and are discounted at psn store. Any thoughts?

Wesker

@DestinationPs: Journey, if you've never played it. I wouldn't say The Binding of Isaac is a great game.

@Wesker: Agreed I didn't like Binding of Isaac much. Having said that so many people swear it's brilliant :S

I'd say Journey, Bastion, Binding of Isaac in that order. But, if Transistors an option, that trumps all imo

Thanks! I'll probably go for Journey. I am playing through transistor now and I enjoy the artstyle and battle system. May get Bastion also for future gaming!
