Topic: PS2 Classics on PS4 and lies about the vita

Okay so as of this year there have been a little to no updates on the ps2 section of the store. At first Sony states that they were listening and taking request from gamers to add more classic games to the online store. The #ps2ps4 hashtag was created in order for gamers to send in their suggestions.

I felt that this was a great opportunity to introduce gamers to hidden gems that they probably never got a chance to play. Such as Blood will tell. As of today 2/22/2017 there has been no news regarding any updates to the PS2 to PS4 library except for the the story about the PS4 being hacked allowing all ps2 games to be played and copied to the Hard drive. Which in my opinion is kind of a bummer- I would have loved to see any active participation from Sony to add more game to the librarys that people enjoy to play.

What games would you like to see hit the psn store library?
what hidden gems do you consider deserve a second chance?

As for the Playstation Vita, as much as I hate to admit this it seems as if the system is on life support. Sure some new games are coming out such as Catherine, and Undertale. I feel this system has been criminally underrated.
On my vita I have a total of 80 plus games that I enjoy playing but even with such a vast library of games there are till some games that i feel would have been great for the handheld. Tenchu stealth assassins, Spiderman on PS1, Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone were all great games that would be great to play again on the vita.
I originally purchased the vita just to play crash bandicoot and spyro on the go. Before buying the system i checked online to see if the games were compatible. The playstation site at one point had crash bandicoot and spyro as compatible with the vita system. To my surprise many games were not compatible with the system.

What games would you like to play one the vita?
I personally would like to see more ps1 classic games on the system such as Heart of darkness or medievil 2.

God knows why Sony does some of the stuff it does. Why can't I buy and play my PS1 classics on my PS4, either? Makes no sense.

@Revan117 How bout just buy a PS2 instead of waiting for them to come to PS4. And as for Vita I don't think Sony is going to support that system too much longer.

@Revan117 Crash and Spyro are available on Vita as PSOne classics if you live in Europe. They're not available in NA due to licensing issues.

I'm sure there is the odd game here and there that I would rather play on my Vita, but I'm pretty content with what I got. Last month I got Digimon, which I'm currently playing and already put 60 hours into that. Last week it was the Secret of Mana remake & we got 3 'big' Sega games coming to vita, so that's something. It's definitely on life support, but I think it can go on for another year or two.

Also two of my most anticipated Vita titles are almost inbound (any week now):
-Cosmic Star Heroine (just needs trophy implementation & Sony approval)
-VA-11 HALL-A (just needs Sony approval for EU launch)

I would like some more sales though. Can't remember the last time Vita had a good sale on the PS Store.

I already have them. I just feel that it would be awesome to play them on the ps vita and ps4. I agree with you, it seems like the vita is on its last legs. @Tasuki

Good points. For what I have on my vita now I’m very happy. I have not yet played through digit on but it is a blast to play on the go. There are odd little titles that are fun and I feel they deserve another look over. I’m currently developing a game for the vita that I hopefully many enjoy.
As for sales you are right it does feel like there haven’t really been much to go on. Luckily I wanted to play octodad and after waiting for a while it popped up in a sale.

As for the crash and Spyro thing and the licensing issues are such a bummer. EU has some pretty cool games like fear effect and driver (maybe this play through I’ll get past the garage) and 40 winks.
I’m hoping we can get more for the little handheld.

@Revan117 I'm not entirely sure, but couldn't you just make a EU account? Isn't that how some people access all the Japanese demos via secondary Japanese accounts?
They're PSOne Classics so no trophies anyways, so you wouldn't lose much.

@ReanSchwarzer7 Not sure. The developer has been pretty tight-lipped about the port given all the difficulties they've had with it. When it's out I'll download it through my PSTV so I'll let you know then .

@Tasuki Yea it seems like that is the best plan of action. I like when they are on the ps4 not only for the trophies some of the games get pricey.
