That is a huge difference from the episodes in life is strange before the storm which were anywhere from 5-6 GB. I will assume that each episode is now a minimum of 4 hours,instead of the usual 2-3.
File size doesn't necessarily equate to length. It could just have higher quality assets, or more of them, or pre-rendered videos. There are loads of reasons why it might be a larger file.
While I understand what you mean, from the 20 minute demo released last month, the graphics,assets aren't that much improved from the previous 2 games.
