So I just finished Burth by Sleep. It was a pretty good game. I was done by the end of doing the third and last character’s story, but it was worth it. There’s definitely some important information for Kingdom Hearts 3. Terra’s story could have been better. Great idea and story outline, but his character didn’t feel super well developed. Now I just need to go through Dream Drop Distance and I’ll be ready for KH3.

@KratosMD @FullbringIchigo @Frigate Neat! I was hopping to get Riku, but I can't disagree with Pete xD. I enjoy a good troll far too much to ever be a Keyblade Wielder xD.

The Roxas fight (critical) in Kingdom Hearts 2 is a painful reminder at how much my gaming skill has deteriorated over the years. At 26 my best years are behind me! That fight seems to get harder every time. I do love it though. Easily one of the best boss battles in KH.

So what’s the combat in KH3 gonna be like? I’m avoiding watching videos for game, but I’m curious about it. Is it like KH2? Does it keep the command deck? What will be exactly?

Is Birth by Sleep hard? I heard it is even harder than the first KH. I’m pretty bad at the game unfortunately. Had to grind to level 55 to defeat Maleficent Dragon and tried to take on Ansem yesterday at level 72 and failed. Grinded to level 81 for another attempt. And this is all in easy mode not proud. If BBS is harder than KH1 then I’ll probably have to grind a lot once again in order to have a chance of beating it.

@Don It can be, but I really just found the first character's story hard in part because I was running past enemies and didn't quite understand how important it was to get better commands by melding. If you use a guide a bit or get some advice, it's not terribly hard I would say. It is if you don't though, and for point of reference, I beat KH1 on Lv 55 on easy mode. Did you use the items that boosted your stats from being on easy mode by chance?
The other thing about Birth By Sleep is that you restart each time you play a new character, and you're definitely supposed to play all three, so you'd have to grind a bit with each of them.

@Don Which phase of Ansem did you struggle with?

Beat Kingdom Hearts 2 this morning and went straight into Birth By Sleep.
I’d like to beat it & 0.2 before KH3. I’ve already accepted the fact that I won’t have enough time for DDD so I’ll just watch the cutscenes.

Also turns out I might have left it too late in trying to preorder the KH3 PS4 Pro. They’re sold out everywhere... .
It’s either scalpers or import .

@Don BBS is harder than the original KH but i would say Chain of memories is the hardest because of the random element with the card system

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

@Fight_Teza_Fight
The phase I had trouble with was the third fight where Ansem is attached to the giant dark creature and I kept getting hit by his “Submit!” attack. I didn’t have any trouble with the flying battle phase after that and finally managed to beat the game yesterday.

Yeah I’m having trouble with the card system in Re Chain and is trying to get past the Hades battle on the 6th floor colosseum room.

I managed to beat KH1 yesterday. I’ll probably give BBS a try after KH3.

@Don the issue is that you have to buy new cards which would be fine BUT you can only buy cards in moogle rooms and getting a moogle room is completely random, on my last playthrough when i was p[laying through all the KH games before KH3 i got to the 5th world and i was yet to have a single moogle room card drop so i'm forced to use the default card deck, basically i couldn't attack anyone because EVERY damn card i used was either broken or too weak

so i played and finished the GBA original instead

when they remade that game they should have got rid of the card system

FullbringIchigo

@KratosMD i WAS playing it on the easiest setting though

FullbringIchigo

@KratosMD it's the whole card system, if you have a good deck then it's actually loads of fun BUT the problem is it's random if you get a room to buy cards, if you could buy them in the safe zones after each world it wouldn't be an issue

I actually find the difficulty settings matter very little in Chain of Memories.
Sure you dish out more and take less damage, but if you grind enough, organise your deck and have a bit of luck on your side you’re basically untouchable no matter the difficulty.

I hated the game at first, but with each playthrough I’ve enjoyed it more and more.
Also the final boss is easy top 5 in the series.

@Don You might not want to start skipping games. KH has a great incredible, but very hard to follow story. It’s probably worse than skipping all but the first one or two Marvel movies then watching Infinity War.

Ugh, Chain of Memories..... The only KH I've out and out disliked.

Maybe I'd like it if I replayed it, but that first playthrough was so painful for me. KH2 healed my soul after that.

@Jaz007
I just started a file for Birth by Sleep and am currently in Dwarfed Woodland. I was checking on people’s comments on the difficulty for this game, some say it’s really hard and some say it’s easy. I guess I’ll find out where I stand on that soon. I read the first boss is challenging.

FullbringIchigo

@KratosMD oh don't get me wrong it's not a bad game just REALLY frustrating due to it's RNG Card system

like i said before it's OK if you have powerful cards it's GETTING the stupid Moogle room cards to actually buy new cards

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

FullbringIchigo

@KratosMD unless you desperate for good cards for you deck then you should save them BUT if you need to use them then use them

also i got to floor 4 and never had one, that's why i went and played the GBA version instead
