@Octane I'll have to see if my partner's got it. Beyond my faithful DS Lite, there's nothing Nintendo in my apartment; he's the Mario fanboy.

Thanks for the recommendation!

@RogerRoger Well, seeing how you're a big star wars fan as well, I'm sure a sci-fi shooter-adventure game is right up your alley! It's a GameCube game, but most Wii systems can also play them. They're also available digitally on Wii U, so I'm certain there's a way to play them if you're bored one day!

@Octane Perfect; he's got all of the consoles so, even if he doesn't have the disc, we can boot up the Wii U and grab a digital copy. Seeing whether he enjoys the experience, or merely tolerates it like he does whenever we watch Star Wars, Star Trek or anything else remotely connected to sci-fi, will just add to the fun, I'm sure.

Cheers!

@RogerRoger Wii U has the entirely trilogy €19.99 I believe. A pretty good deal IMO. I paid an arm and a leg for the physical trilogy on the Wii. Those things are worth a fortune these days.

Anyway, I'll post an update here when I find the time (and temperature) to make a little more progress in Shadow Fall!

@Octane So nice to see some Shadow Fall love! I still never finished the main game after i'd gotten sucked in to the multiplayer. When my peepers are sorted I might just throw it back in.
If you have a Vita or can get a PSTV cheap - Killzone Mercenary is a great time, more akin to Killzone 2/3.

@RogerRoger I can't speak to the two sequels, but Prime really is a treat!

@KALofKRYPTON At some point soon, I'm gonna charge up my PS Vita and play through the "Big Four" that I really wanna play through again. Killzone Mercenary leads the pack, followed by Tearaway, Gravity Rush and Uncharted: Golden Abyss (that last one being the only game of the four I've played through more than once).

Mercenary is an excellent, excellent game. A shining example of what the PS Vita should've been delivering on a semi-regular basis. Oh well.

@RogerRoger Not a bad plan. I always intended to get physical versions (again) of Uncharted and Gravity Rush. Never finished Gravity rush and just haven't had space to download it again (or Uncharted).

I have my copy of Uncharted 4 back now, so when I can I might do Golden Abyss again too. I played it fairly piecemeal in the early days of my relationship with my partner (when the Vita was known as the Black Mistress ) so didn't really session it or take much in to any extent. Finishing it was really underwhelming as it turned out I'd only left myself with about 20 minutes of play time until the end of the game!

Tearaway I could happily play again too. Unfolded is quite good too - a longer game though, but obviously does't have the Vita inputs to keep in as interesting.

I actually really want to play Resistance: Burning Skies again. Only had one play through +10 minutes to secure the platinum trophy.

@Octane Vitas are holding their prices rather well, PSTVs are seemingly on the rise now too (very recent homebrew breakthroughs could be the cause of that) - but it's worth keeping your eyes on ebay and the like if you'd like one.
