Topic: If Crash Bandicoot returned, what would you like to see?

After seeing the image of Crash sitting atop a PlayStation themed cake, I couldn't help but think about the possibility of his return to PS4. So I thought I'd pose a couple of questions to all of you? If Crash Bandicoot returned, who would you like his next game to be developed by? And what would you like to see in it? Just send your answers on a postcard to the usual address.

This is all they need to do, I'm not too fussed about seeing a new game to be honest although if they did I would likely buy it. Although if Tony Hawks is anything to go by, then lets not tarnish the legend with another entry!

Give this man an award! This is all we need.

Million dollar question, this. I think if they went the nostalgic route it would have to be a downloadable game, as I'm not sure that type of experience would hold up as a boxed release today. There's lots you could do with the character in a new AAA-type title, but would enough people want it for it to make financial sense?

@get2sammyb: Dunno.. Rayman works and that's a throwback.

I'd be happy with a Crash 3 remake, or something in the vain of Crash 3. I think it could still work but would be happy with it as a PSN game. Crash 3 is up there for me not just in platformers but all time
Games. The various exits and different objectives for each level.

Reboot it just like Rachet & Clank i think i will be happy then.

Cool to see differing responses to this. I think whatever happens, it'd be great to have a collection like @milero91 suggested.

I think a reboot could have potential to be brilliant if they did it for the right reasons. It would very much have to be a passion project and done for the reason of revisiting that homourous and light-hearted spirit which made the originals so great. If they put in a decent amount of investment and marketing, I think it could actually do very well. I feel that the marketing and internal politics held back the Rayman games, even thought I'd argue that Origins and Legends far outshine any Rayman games in the past. If they captured the spirit but updated some of the older mechanics, it could be amazing.

If they did a Legend Edition, that could actually double up as a measure of how much people want the Bandicoot. Either way, this has made me revisit the originals!

@get2sammyb: Mario sells tons. I have never understood the train of thought that platformers cant sell. Who says?

I would like to see a ps plus freebie Crash Bandicoot Remastered released on the original games 20th anniversary (September 9th 2016). I'm not sure a full release would hold up these days and changing the formula would take too much away from what made it enjoyable in the first place. Saying that, I would pay money for this.

Idk how well a Platformer can evolve in today's gaming. So without it ruining my childhood I'll play the safe option, which is Crash Team Racing. It would be awesomesauce.

If crash ever comes back it'd probably be a download game or in vain or the $40 price of tearaway or the upcoming R&C. I don't think Crash can be sold at $60 regardless of content and quality.

And I imagine a ps1 trilogy remaster is more likely than a brand new game.
