@WanderingBullet When I joined up with my brother I got an info panel saying if you team up with a higher level player's game you stats will be temporarily boosted to a equal level. Don't know the full details but it sounds totally doable. My brother are just playing with 2 characters, one for solo play and one for just when we join up.
Pretty sure any missions you do in someone else's game will show as done when you go back to your own.

@WanderingBullet yup. The person joining will be auto-leveled to one level below the host so they can join in.

Seriously, what is with the tiny text for the in game hints? I can barely read them from my sofa..

I have only got as far as finishing the first mission and the game has felt pretty solid so far although it did have some really bad moments of stuttering at one point and that was with me playing solo.

@Tasuki With the caveat that I've only just got going, I don't think you will have needed to play the first game but I reckon knowing a bit of the story will help. As for enjoyable, that's pretty hard to say. The combat is solid enough and I finished the first game solo and had a blast. Enemies will probably still feel a little bullet spongey but I guess that's part of this so-called "looter shooter" to make it feel more satisfying when you get better gear.

@Tasuki It's terrific and no you don't need to play the first. The story is just background noise really. This game is 100% about the loot chase.

That said you can find many Youtube videos breaking down the story.

@Tasuki Played the first one and didn't really pay much attention to the story and still enjoyed it. Like @Splat mentions, it is just background noise. It was not really a story heavy game, if you are looking for that you may need to look at another game. I think I spent more time in the menus comparing gear and changing loadouts than actually playing the game. 🤣

Saying that my mate that I played it with was always going on about how good the story was, and how everything was linking together. I seem to remember something about finding out what/who caused the virus, but that might have been a side quest.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Just got the game. During the mission where you have to save Odessa Sawyer's daughter there were some serious frame rate drops. The stuttering also happens sometimes during free roam. Also, on the second time I load up the game, it crashed right after the "Warning: Please Read Before Playing" message.

Huntin' monsters erryday.

Traded in Antham and a few other games and picked this one up on Xbox One. Can't wait to start it after work today. 😀

@WanderingBullet I had a similar problem in the same mission playing solo but not had it again since.

Just hit level 30 and still totally hooked. I haven't been this addicted to the loot chase in a game since Diablo 3.

I hope there is still plenty of clan space left, the cap is 50 isn’t it? Not quite got it unlocked yet, doing lots of exploring and clearing the first region.

Yeah, the cap is 50 but we only had 18 or 19 last time I checked.

I recommend everyone join even if you play solo. You will still get rewards and help the clan level up.

I play solo but i'll join to reap the benefits. I did create my own clan but it's useless for a solo agent. To be honest, I only did it so I could create an emblem and unlock the clan room.

I soloed all the main missions prior to the level 10 one. Now a lot of the missions, activities and etc seems a lot harder if you don't have a team.

I was in a safehouse when this came on the radio and gave me some classic 90's hip-hop goosebumps.

This is probably my second favorite co-op game this gen after Monster Hunter World.

I'm finally in the clan.

Not many people seem to have changed their badge associated with their character (it's the emblem on their arm) which you can do through the commendations screen.

Open the progression menu, press R1 twice, and see if you've unlocked any. I think you get some XP and can use the emblem too.

Similarly, be sure to activate the weekly challenges. Press R1 from the commendation screen to get there. It's kind of stupid that you have to specifically activate these and there's nothing to be lost be activating ones you can't yet do anyway. I completed the shotgun challenge just completing one mission.
