@JohnnyShoulder Pretty much, and I mean this was always going to be a censored release. The original wouldn’t be allowed by any of the big three, so the little more Sony had done isn’t a big deal when you think about it. The original was porn, while this much more just being cute with a few dirty jokes in it. And honestly, regarding it being M, I haven’t seen anything in it that surpasses what some T rated JRPGs have so far. I still think it’s funny no one thought it was a mistake.
I really really hope Sony improves their operating system and some policies regarding it for the next gen. There are many idiosyncrasies and even some anticonsumer decisions which competition simply does better.
What surprised, frustrated and disappointed me right now is that even though my playstation has been on today and for the past couple of days, it simply didn't register that I need update for Black Ops 4 until I started it. So now if I want to play it I need to wait for 9.432 GB to download... I just want to relax a little and play a couple of rounds. This simply beats the very purpose of rest mode and console gaming to me.
@NecuVise I used to really like the PS3 feature where you could set it to turn itself on at a set time, it would check for any updates and download them before turning off again. The PS4 feels a lot more hit and miss as to whether it will do it.
Not that I use it anyway as 1) my PS4 makes a very quiet but continuous whine when off but turned on at the wall and 2) I'm a bit more eco-aware and turn the console off anyway now rather than leave it in continuous standby.
@JohnnyShoulder@NecuVise@Thrillho Yes, that’s one of my complaints too. I used to leave the game on stand-by mode more often, but now I figure what’s the point? The updates are done so unpredictably.
You do need to put it in standby periodically though to have all your saves uploaded to the cloud. (Unless you fancy doing them one by one manually)
Man, it's going to be tough avoiding impulse buys on my PS4. Checked the store the past couple days and while I didn't bite on anything, it was tempting seeing Titanfall 2, Unravel, & Burnout Paradise at $10 each yesterday, and Ys Origins at $8 today (not to mention that Batman: Arkham Knight & InFamous Second Son seem to be $20 at their base price now). If I hadn't done any Christmas shopping this past weekend I probably would have nabbed a couple things.
Also, I'm now 75% done with the main story in Spider-Man (just completed the mission where you had to fight Li on the subway).
BTW, I completed all the challenge missions but lost to Taskmaster (I was actually doing really good until he knocked me down into a tight space and the camera zoomed in so close I couldn't see him or the spider sense indicator & got pummeled). Will he randomly challenge me now, or will I have to go out of my way to grind high scores in the challenge missions for him to show up again?

@RR529 You know if you’re impressed by $20 for those games you really need to look at Gamestop more. It has cheaper for games like long before the “officially” hit $20.
Surprised that Onrush is being offered - that was only released in June. Soma isn't my type of 'Horror' game - I don't tend to like the hide and seek Horror genre but will still add both to my download list - just because I can...

@BAMozzy You're probably the only one surprised... It really did tank.
The retail price went through the floor in no time and this is probably the closest the game will ever get to any sort of targeted sales figure.
I, like a lot of people, thought it looked great - but really just wanted MotorStorm 4 and have the Onrush thing as a mode. I came close to buying it a couple of times... but, hey ho.

@BAMozzy I believe they patched SOMA to where you can remove enemy encounters. It's more of a science-fiction meditation on the nature of consciousness and subjectivity than it is a horror story, really.
@KALofKRYPTON I know it tanked - so much so that Codemasters had to make some redundancies - inc the Game Director of Onrush. I too would have been more interested had this been Motorstorm with 'Onrush' being nothing more than a mode. I enjoyed Motorstorm - mostly as a Solo player rather than competitive online and Onrush could have been part of the multiplayer suite of modes.
Just because it tanked, that to me still doesn't scream PS+ inclusion. A lot of games haven't sold 'well' that are older and still not been offered as a PS+ title. What about Agents of Mayhem, Dead Rising 4, Metal Gear Survive, Godzilla, Zombie Army Trilogy, Yooka Laylee, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, Knack 2, Homefront 2, Dirt Rally, Dirt 4, Sniper Elite 4, Battleborn, Evolve... None of these sold 'well' and haven't (yet) been offered on PS+. Fallout 76 for May 2019 PS+ then

@BAMozzy You may not be that far off with Fallout '76.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that the other games you mentioned probably sold better/covered costs better than Onrush did. I'm not certain, but I doubt most on that list had their retail prices slashed so quickly either.

@KALofKRYPTON Possibly not as bad as Onrush in most of these at least - although they have been on the market for longer too. As for development costs, some may well be less because they were built on existing games - like Fallout 76 was probably built on Fallout 4. Onrush may have had to have a lot of work done on the engine before they could start creating assets etc.
There could be a difference too in the status of the publisher. EA for example can offset under-performance in Need for Speed: Payback with gains in Battlefield, Fifa and Micro-transactions. Codemasters may be in a more precarious position and feel the pressure a lot more.
