@KALofKRYPTON To be honest, the only person who ever does/ever would play couch games with me is my 6 year old son! To that end, I do have a LOT of couch games for us to both play, although being only 6 it means he's not necessarily that 'competitive' at them yet to make it enjoyable for me, if that makes sense. I'm hoping in a few years that will change and we can get the most out of all the little gems out there.

I did recently get a Wii U and some Wii controllers so hopefully we can start to play that kind of stuff as a family as well.

@tomassi Best to start them young. I did with mine - though she'd rather play Pokemon Sun & Moon and then Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon one after the other than take a stroll through the Streets of Rage these days!

@KALofKRYPTON The same excuse was used for GT Sport for the fumbled release and the FIA license. Lets be honest here SF5 should have sold through the roof, it didnt and was rubbish. GT sport should have sold more than it did, when I had a quick browse in game last week there was more GT Sport on the shelves preowned than any other game.

Regardless of the canned excuses both games were bare bones at release with the premis of selling additional content. GT Sport couldnt alienate the fans so has back tracked so everything is now free and SFv had the second retail release earlier this year which was never meant to happen.

Fortunately people have spoken with their wallets and through angered complaints online. Its only denting the franchise reputation and whats todays big game is tomorrows Halo 5 in the wrong hands.

No excuse for V - just facts. The game was in back room development with no intentions by Capcom to fully develop until Sony stepped in. With Microsoft having the lead platform for IV - that had to change with the new tourny season. So they worked in a rush to get something out. I bought V to play with my friends - that was the prime reason for me. Single player content was always a secondary concern and it has remained so.

Actually - while not the mainstream smash hit - the fighting game community have been, and still are, well in with SFV.

The real sad story in fighting games is Marvel vs Capcom. Shoddy production values and Marvel stifling the character roster have left the game very few players. It's even been dropped from EVO!

Those arguments aside - the Arcade Edition thing is a slap in the face of players who have stuck with V from the start.
