My friend bought a LBP3 for PS4. He gave me his PSN information so I can play LBP3 with him. Is it possible for us to both play LBP3 together online? I downloaded the game, but it doesn't allow me to play his game. On ps3 we were able to have two ps3s activated to PSN, and we were able to play our digital games together online.

Whichever PS4 is the "primary system" for a PSN account, every user on that PS4 gets access to the digital content that the user has purchased, such as PS+ and games/DLC. That's why your brother can play online multiplayer even if he didn't buy PS+; you bought PS+ on your own PSN.

However, if you are logging into your PSN on a PS4 that's not registered as your primary (such as a friend's PS4), you can still access your digital content, but only that user can access the content. This is a precaution by Sony to avoid game sharing; that's why the PS3 method no longer works anymore. On PS3 you would just log into your PSN and download your content onto that PS3. You can still do that on PS4, but the content will be locked to other users since that PS4 is not your primary for that PSN (remember, primary PS4s let all users access the content of the primary user).

However, this is where the loop-hole comes into play. If you make your friend's PS4 the primary console for your PSN account, every user on his PS4 can access your content - including his own PSN.

Once your friend's PS4 is the primary console for your PSN account, your PSN account on your own PS4 will be a "secondary" account. In order to use your content, you must always be signed into PSN. If you aren't, the apps will be suspended for ~30 mins until it detects connection again. Also, if you have any other users on your PS4 such as siblings, they won't be able to access your content. Additionally, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think if you want to buy new digital content, you need to do so via the primary console. This means buying content from your friend's PS4, or temporarily making your PS4 the primary to make the purchase.

Sorry for the long post, I wanted to be as concise as possible so you understand how it works.

TL;DR: To gameshare on PS4, make your friend's PS4 the primary system for your PSN account and vice versa. You guys have total freedom, with the exception that you must be connected to the PSN to access your content, otherwise it'll get temporarily suspended. Also, other users on your PS4 won't be able to access your digital content. Lastly, I'm pretty sure you need to purchase digital content from your friend's PS4 (since it's primary) for the content to go to both of you.

If you log into their account and activate your PS3 with their account, you could download/play their purchased PS3 games on your PS3 (even with your account).

"Sharing" works on both PS3 and PS4, but not really on Vita (unless you want to play on their account all the time).

Maybe I don't understand your post, but you can defiantly share on both platforms. If Account A has purchased PS4 and PS3 games on their account, Account B can use said PS3 content if they sign in with Account A and make it a primary account on that PS3. From there, Account B can use all said PS3 content downloaded from Account A.

You cannot share a PS4 game to on a PS3 or a PS3 game on a PS4 (obviously...) unless it's cross buy PS3/PS4 content.

EDIT: I can verify this because both my PS3/PS4 and my girlfriends PS3 are primary accounts with my username. All 3 can play any game I've purchased on any account.

I am really new cam someone please tell me if this is correct.
My bf has a ps4 which we both have an acct on. (i think) like we both have passwords.
But he made his primary console his buddys and made his buddys primary as ours. So they can share games back and forth. Now does that mean that i cannot play games my bf purchased...but any user at the friends house can...and i will have acess to the games the friend purchased as our console is his primary?..also can i make our console my primary ? Imso confused about this ....sorry for the stupid question i just want to be clear. If anyone can help.

@Krozath62: @MakeLoveNotWar: I'm not trying to be a know it all but Sony's stance on this is that it is against their policies and "apparently" people have had accounts banned for it (apparently being the key word).

"Gameshare" is meant only to be used by people who share a home.

Can someone help me,
I gameshared a gta v with a friend and he said hed pay me half the money I used to buy it. Its been two months and that sleezy hasn't paid me. I wanted to take away the game but I cant. Because its like its telling me HE has to deactivate his ps4 for me to get my game back. Is there a way to take my game back from him.

@Roberto123: I know your upset but watch the language. As it stands nope you can't do anything about it, this is technically against Sony's rules so therefore Sony won't do anything about it. This is just a lesson learned kind of thing.

Anyway since this is against Sony's policies I am afraid we can't discuss this here. You are going to have to ask somewhere else I am afraid.
