The missions available open up as you go up the ranks once you've pledged your allegiance.
The Community missions are a great way to get money. Get in the various tiers to get some serious money.
Are people still actively playing this game? I just got the basic game today, I heard the learning curve is a bit steep. Anyone interested in flying missions together and showing me the ropes?
@Rogueleader76 It's like your username was made for this game mate, I'm still playing from time to time, I've also seen @AlexStinton on and off, sure reviews are getting in the way.
I will assume you're still within the bubble? I'm currently looping between HIP 10716 and Wu Guinagi systems to rank up with the Empire, getting my cutter soon hopefully, it's a good place to make money and advance a major faction, not so much for community goals and buying ships/outfitting, but it has a good amount of players grinding out there.
@xX_RiscazZ_Xx I'm still playing regularly. Currently I'm WAAAAAAYYY outside populated space somewhere near the Orion Nebula. I haven't seen another player in a couple of weeks, but the views have been awesome. Especially at the various Thargoid sites I've visited.
@AlexStinton I'll be doing some exploration after I get max rank here, guardian ruins seemed like a good place to start, then visit Sol and see the center, the noob spots Currently Lord if I'm not mistaken, so I'm almost there!
I took an experimental trip out to the California Nebula ( just under 1000ly) in my Imperial Clipper because I wanted to see what the nebulas looked like. I wasn't disappointed. I know I should have used my Asp Explorer for the higher jump range but the Clipper is such a good looking ship and it paid off in all the glorious screenshot I've taken. I also made around 18 million credits from exploration.
Now I'm back in the bubble, I'm gonna do a bit more trading and passenger work before my next venture even further into the beyond. I still love this game.
@xX_RiscazZ_Xx lol thanks for the compliment. Yeah I'm still in the bubble. I'm still learning, but I had fun with what I have done so far. This is what I wanted out of No Man's Sky. This is a way better experience.

Space legs announced for early next year!
Sounds like a significant update to the game, and with first person combat, I wonder how they'll manage that, sounds like a whole other game on top of what we have potentially.
I've not played ED for many moons but I'll be defo jumping back in with this update. I was hoping that the space legs would be third person for a better frame of view but it makes sense considering the game is first person. I wonder if we can stroll around our ships?

That would be interesting, and could easily lead on to boarding enemy ships in a battle. I think it might be a while before we learn more though, looks like they announced it early by mistake.
