Picked this up in the recent flash sale and had a few questions for veterans of the game. After seeing some videos of all the classes I was leaning assassin or strider. I like the dagger combat style. Is a viable build: 1-10 fighter, 11-100 assassin and strider after that? I don't need a min max build, but I don't want to find a dagger that is great, but not so great due to my build. Should I add a magic class for a few levels so I am not so weak in magic defense and/or can use magic daggers with more effectiveness?

I know this is an older game, but if you played it and have some advice even if its just general tips it would be much appreciated.

@Elodin If this is your first time playing it then I'd recommend just playing whichever class you find the most fun. Once you max a class you can always try another and experiment with different vocations. Personally I prefer the strider/ranger/assassin class because the combat is so enjoyable. Also, i always avoid using specific magic weapons and rely on mage/sorcerer pawns to enchant them for the right situation instead.

@ApostateMage thanks for the recommendations! I like your idea on mage buffing my weapons. I started as a fighter, but I'm only 5 lvls in. I think I will switch to Strider since I want to use daggers and have more maneuverability.
