I recent started this game and I am enjoying it alot. Though I have quite a few questions since I skipped the first game.

First off as skill points go do I want to use them all at once or is it better to save them? Is there a certain way I want to use them or do I eventually get enough skill points to get all the skills?

Also How do the Monster Coins work I got a few of them, but now I don't seem to get anymore.

And is there crafting in this game? I am getting some odd items off of enemies and I am not quite sure if I should sell them or not.

Thanks for any and all info.

@Tasuki I finished the game a couple of months ago so I'll try to answer your questions based off some pretty hazy memory.

How far into the game are you? Once you get to main hub area, Accordia you should see a bunch of stands in the square. They offer a variety services including crafting (the big pot), but they take a good few hours of story progression to unlock. Unfortunately the crafting in the game is terrible. There's just a list of items you can make depending on what you have. I wouldn't really bother, because chances are that you'll pick up something better.

Monster Coins or Mini Medals? When defeating an enemy there's is a chance it will drop a coin of itself. You can use the coin using the d-pad to summon (press up x2) the enemy to fight for you or dispel it (press down x2). If you're capacity is full you won't be able to pick up any more. The actual effect of the coin depends on the enemy (defender, possession or skill use).
Mini medals are very rare drops that can be traded with a collector in Accordia.

Skill points are tricky. Initially I'd boost physical attributes. Then as you figure out what kind of attacks/abilities you want to have I'd build around that. I'd focus on 4 skills to invest in then spend the rest on boosting stats.
Your chosen hero can also be trained in multiple classes. He has the core upgrades like the other characters have, but has access to another set of upgrades that are permanent stat boosts. This is because once your character changes class, which is required to complete some side missions you start over at LVL1 for that class. Personally I just stuck with warrior.
There is no way to get all the upgrades in 1 playthrough. Think I got about 60-65% for each character. In NG+ you start of the game with 50 additional skill points which will help you get all the skills.
So it's important to spend the points wisely. I'm fairly certain there is skill point reallocation in the game, but I can't remember how. It might also only work on the main hero, but I could be wrong.

@Fight_Teza_Fight Thanks that helped alot.

I thought you could care alot more of the monster medals then you can carry, I thought it was a like gold where you can carry a large amount. Thats also good to know about crafting and I'm only an hour into the game now. Just went to the desert.

As for skill points, I will keep that in mind.
