Bought this game for my son recently and have no idea how to save progress. Don't want to save data to an external device, just want to know why it wont autosave so that everytime we turn the game back on, we dont have to start from the very beginning.

@christiangannon That's very odd - I played the game for Push Square's review, and I didn't encounter any issues with save data. Sounds like it must be a bug only affecting a few people. Is your PS4 on the latest firmware, and is the game also up to date? If yes to both, perhaps you could try deleting and then reinstalling the game, and see if that makes a difference.
You could always report it to the developer too. It's possible they're already working on a patch to rectify it but send them an email or something regardless
