Topic: Overwatch - OT

Preordered my copy today. I can't wait!!!

So if you preordered the game before April 29th the beta is live now.

I got a code from a friend so I'm playing it now.

@WanderingBullet: Same here. Just doing the training missions and trying every character. So far I am liking this game alot. This game will keep me busy till Infinite Warfare comes out that's for sure.

So Bastion is of course my fave, while Mei is a close second. THIS GAME ROCKS

Takes forever for me find a match, though. Been playing for about 90 mins and so far I've only found 3 (+ an additional 2 for not exiting after finishing a match) matches.

All of them Quick Plays. No luck getting a match for both Play vs AI or Mystery Heroes.

@WanderingBullet: I have be getting into matches quickly myself, just like I do for Black Ops 3. Been mostly playing VS A.I. so I can learn the characters.

@irken004 I am really enjoying Reaper and Hanzo.

@Tasuki: Could be because I'm not based in NA or EU. lol

@WanderingBullet: That was going to be my next question, where are you located.

Do you gain experience from Playing vs AI?

@irken004 I'm terrible at PVP so I just try to snipe from a distance using Widowmaker.lol

@WanderingBullet: Yes you do I got to level 5. Now whether XP and levels transfer between game modes I have no idea. Like if you get level 5 in VS A.I. are you level 5 overall or just in VS A.I.. Also I don't know if the levels and stuff we get from the loot boxes will transfer over to the live game from the beta.

I played a couple of hours tonight and overall I am enjoying it, I will post my thoughts on the game some time tomorrow when I am not half asleep.

Is it true that they'll be micro transactions in this game to unlock the cosmetic items?

Also will there be more modes in the final game?

@WanderingBullet: I am not sure if there will be microtransactions honestly, I want to say no but in this day and age you never know. I mean Heroes of the Storm there is but the game is F2P, but then again World of Warcraft costs 15 dollars a month, plus 60 for an expansion and they have cosmetic pets and stuff that you can buy with money, so it's anyone's guess.

Honestly cosmetIc pieces that you can buy with real money don't bother me if people want to spend money on a new look for their character so be it. I honestly prefer earning it like in a system they have with the loot boxes. To me it just makes it that more special when you do get it finally.

I believe it was confirmed that future heroes and maps are free, but I could imagine them charging for loot boxes pretty easily.

@irken004: Right l, kinda like how Black Ops 3 has CoD points for the Black Market boxes.

Played a couple of hours this game is meh imo, too many op killstreak characters and not enough players who want to play medic etc, this game has a free to play vibe about it. The lack of traversal except withe certain characters also makes navigation boring. I'ts also extremely unbalanced. that character with the chain and the shotgun is WAY to op Not for me this game. Scratching my pre order. If you dont have 4 or 5 friends who play this game on a regular basis then scrub it, it's not a game you can play with randoms..

There is no WAY in hell this game is worth$60 especially with doom on the horizon , Overwatch is not a 1v1 gunskill game, infact it's a game that should have been F2P, Overwatch makes destiny pvp seem balanced .

@Bazza78: I don't know, I have been doing just fine with randoms.

@Tasuki: randoms are fine Versus AI . It's when you pvp versus humans that it tough.

@Bazza78: Fair enough, although you can meet people I suppose. But honestly that's a given with any kind of game that requires teamwork, wether it's CoD, or League of Legends, or even World of Warcraft.

@Tasuki: yeah man fair play, but in cod u have the same traversal but just use different guns and perks. In overwatch you need sombody on your team to play a boring slow cumbersome characters , to make it work. Last game i played we had 4 widowmakers.

And also some of the characters supers feel very wimpy an inconsistent .
