Topic: A warning about n++

If anybody has any interest in getting n++ eventually then you may need to consider getting the game sooner as Metanet Software have adopted an unusual pricing structure. Right now the price is (in the UK) £14.79 which gets you the full game's 2000+ levels and "a lifetime pass for all future DLC". I personally think it's not a bad deal but this is where things change. Once more content and DLC is added the base game/DLC pass goes UP. The reason for this they say on the PS Blog is "we don't like the idea of nickel-and-dime-ing our players for every piece of DLC" They simply want everyone who buys the game to get access to all future content. And if your hoping for it to get a big sale later on then they ruled that out too, saying "due to the level-sharing we have a relatively high cost per user, ruling out steep discounts". Simply put "buy early if you want n++ early on the cheap " their words. I personally feel the game looks great and from the sounds of it, plays great too (I'll be getting it next week) but it's business model I felt needed to be mentioned for those that might interested in getting it eventually and maybe hoped for a big sale or on Plus.

everything goes on sale at some point. Just depends on how long you are willing to wait. I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a PS+ game within a year or two

@adf86: Thanks for pointing it out. However this bit doesn't make sense to me;

"due to the level-sharing we have a relatively high cost per user, ruling out steep discounts". Simply put "buy early if you want n++ early on the cheap " their words.

I don't understand how sharing levels has a high cost. You just share levels - like resoguns ships or trials tracks dont you? I do understand how edited levels devalue in game content as proven in trials on ps4, but that's different.

@themcnoisy: I wasn't quite convinced either but I guess we don't know much it cost to make both the game and the DLC. Like I say I felt it was information that some of you needed to know, especially if you wanted the game cheaper.
