Yakuza 5 is probably going to end up being one of my top 10 games on PS3. Really enjoying the game and all the little side quests and distractions around the city. A cople of things though I noticed that not all the scenes which have talking do not have voices is this deliberate? Some just seem to have text. I am also starting to have a money problem at one point I had over 300,000 yen. I just got the bit where you can get the weapons store and invest in it so I spent money upgrading the store and buying some weapons for fighting. I also have started to visit the hostess club. On the advice of the guy I was buying the expensive drinks so my visit there cost me 150,000 yen. The lady was happy but my pocket is not. I want to keep visiting Riku but can not see how I will be able to afford it. I am still early in the game Part 1 chapter 4. So will I be making a lot of money through the story and substories? How has everyone else been making money? As you can see I am having real world problems

Glad to hear you are enjoying the game, is one of my top 5 favorite games... The reason not all scenes are voiced is probably a budget issue, the game is huge so guess they only had money to voice the most important conversations... Most sidequest (substory) conversations do not have voice...

About money at the stage where you are the only real way to make money is by selling the plates you get from fights at the pawn shop... Once you are in the final chapter of the game in Kamurocho you can use the bacaratt tables to make quick money... (just save before trying go for high stakes and reload if you end up losing all your money)... In the final Chapter you can go back to the other cities and finish up whatever is pending... Before the final chapter the only other good way to make money is in Akiyama Chapter playing Mah-Jong... after you win a couple of times people start challenging you on the streets if you win a couple challenges a woman shows up and invites to high stakes Mah-Jong that pays 400,000 yen for a win...
