Have you looked at Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, The Witness, Firewatch or Rime? All 4 have worlds you can roam, feature no combat and have either puzzles or basic quests.
Rime is one of my favourites, I'll look into your other suggestions, thanks. Are they all available to buy on disc?
@nightofjoy I don't think The Witness is but I believe that's actually free as part of the current 'Play at Home' initiative which reminds of Abzu (also part of the initiative) which may be of interest to you!
Do I need to connect to the internet for that? Assume so... not done that yet. Got the PS4 hooked up but our broadband is a bit crap.
@nightofjoy as others have mentioned Journey and Abzu would be good shouts. An outside bet may be Death Stranding... I mean there are some sections where you simply have to shoot stuff but they are few and far between. A lot of the game is planning and executing routes, which while doing the former you can purposely avoid combat during the latter.
Everything — yes, that's the name of the game. Gameplay is mostly just roaming around the small environments, transforming into different objects, plants, and animals, while chill music and the musings of Alan Watts play in the background. I found it to be very relaxing.
The Witness — an absolutely fantastic puzzle game that I'd recommend to anyone, but especially to someone looking for a game about roaming/puzzle solving.
Hohokum — A colourful game devoid of combat, you play as a flying snake-like creature and go about various levels making cool shapes in the sky and solving simple environmental puzzles. Also very chill.
ABZÛ — I just started playing this today and it's a super peaceful underwater experience. You just swim about with all kinds of fish and it's very soothing.
What Remains of Edith Finch — This one is all about making your way through an abandoned house and experiencing the stories of its deceased inhabitants. It sounds spooky but it isn't — a very nice, story-driven game with no combat.
No Man's Sky — Bit of a long shot this one, but I think this game is great for virtual tourism. If you play in the game's Creative mode, you won't need to worry about any survival/combat stuff, and can just enjoy the sights and sounds of billions of procedurally generated planets.
Return of the Obra Dinn — Another favourite puzzle game of mine. No combat, you have to figure out how each crew member aboard a ship met their demise. It's seriously good, and you can just wander about the ship itself the whole time too.
I'm sure I can think of others. Most of the above games are digital only but well worth looking into.
Honestly one of the most relaxing games like that is Shenmue for me. Just love wandering around the town. A Short Hike is also very relaxing. I’d second No Man’s Sky, it’s a lot better than it was and Creative mode is great for just having a wander.

I seem to be having some trouble with the PS3 Store 🤔
@nightofjoy Hey friend I can recommend to you The Pathless, it is an excellent exploration game. Is turn based combat difficult for you as well? If you like a good story, being immersed in a world, and turn based combat isn't difficult for you then I can recommend Persona 5 Royal. If you like a good platformer with good challenge then maybe Celeste.
A few other that may interest you could be Little nightmares, Fuser, Concrete Genie, Dreams(has a free trial on ps store), Detroit Become Human,

I inow Little Nightmares is PS4... are the others too? Looking for PS3 games really...
I think you'll struggle now on ps3. If you've not played some of these suggestions on ps4 then go back to that. Sounds like you'd enjoy the witness and firewatch as mentioned above. Firewatch particularly is a great little game with no combat. Witness is also good but personally I found too hard without resorting to a lot of online hints, but again no combat.
