today I had my first PS3 problem and its about a disc drive. I wouldn't give back my game disc and whenever I've clicked the eject button, it was making this noise like it was going to give it back, but nothing would happen. So i kept on clicking that button, and with every try, the noise was getting "slower", like the mechanism would go down. I've managed to get my disc back using that method (https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/system---hardware/disc-drive---ports/a-disc-is-stuck-in-my-playstation-3.ps3/) and right now it works like that:
I'm inserting the disc > eject doesnt work > i remove the disc using screwdriver > inserting the disc again > eject works > inserting disc again > eject doesn't work
and its going like that on the loop.
Does anyone knows the reason behind that, and how to fix it?
still this is why i prefer disc doors to disc drives, less problems and no danger of the disc getting stuck

If you have a fast internet and a 500 gig hard drive you could allays download digitally. Eliminates the tray trouble.
There are rumors Nintendo's next console will be cartridge based no more scratched disks tray trouble piracy and most important of all ....................................................noise.
