@RR529 @RR529 It's brilliant. Yes it does come with a camera.

Here's a link to the mega pack. You get 5 games including Astrobot! I personally would avoid Wipeout until you know you can handle VR.

If you struggle - I get extremely motion sick - Start with Destruction Ball in the VR worlds game and make sure you set up so you are straight on with the camera and set up perfectly. This is the best advice as stupid as it sounds. Your brain senses when you are slightly askew and can lead to dizziness so make sure you are sat in the perfect position. Then you will be fine.

Good luck and have fun.

I take back what I said about Tetris. I'm trying expert mode and struggling to beat levels first time. Luckily you only need 48 lines which is doable most levels after you settle in. I've just finished Celebration so am 16/17 levels In, what a game when the difficulty is like this.

I am noticing issues with input lag though which I haven't had an issue with before.

@themcnoisy, I'm actually in the US so I can't take advantage of that link, but hopefully we'll have something similar over here.

@RR529 I dont know if they sell it without a bundle. It’ll be really clear what you’re getting though.

@Ypmud Yeah, like I said, you're all set in that case! It's the best game

There's a bunch of free demos available on the store, so that's worth a try; and make sure to check out some older games that have received VR patches, like WipeOut for example.

I dont know if I would go that far but its by a long way the best usage of the DS4 pad and also shows off VR in a way I didnt think possible.

Got my Astro Bot/Moss bundle in yesterday!

Didn't have time to try out any of the games yet (it was late, so I didn't have the time to wait for one to download), but I did get everything set up & watched a few VR videos on YouTube to test it out. Started out with a few slower paced videos like Shark encounters & a Grand Canyon tour, then worked my way up to a few roller coaster videos, and other than a slight feeling of "butterflies" once or twice I never felt sick, so hopefully that's a good sign. By far the worst one in that regard was scenes from a Ghost in the Shell VR experience. During the beginning when the Major's body is being constructed in front of you, there was a part where the camera quickly pulled away from her while she was spinning in front of you, which made me dizzy for a few seconds, but the rest of the video never bothered me, including the action scenes & free fall sections. It's pretty awesome tech, all in all.

BTW, I assume it's safe to leave everything plugged in even when not doing VR things? I did put away the headset itself, but the processor box seems like it would be a pain to set up every time.

@RR529 Yeah that's fine. I use the cardboard box that came with the headset to store it. I only have to plug in the two HDMI cables when I want to use it; the VR box stays plugged in.

RR529

@Octane, thanks. That's what I ended up doing as well (putting it in it's box). BTW, while I did put the PS4 into sleep mode before unplugging the headset, I think I forgot to shut the headset itself off. Would that hurt anything, or would it not hurt anything since it wouldn't have any power going to it anyways (I'll be sure to shut it off properly next time, but I'm a tad nervous).
