Hi,

Not sure if this has been covered. I’ve never been a huge fan of downloaded games. you can’t sell them on, trade them in, have them in a physical collection etc. But for PSVR unless I’m wrong it’s even worse. I’ve no intention of selling my PSVR - I’ve just bought it. But if I buy lots of games on D/L then come to sell my PSVR I won’t be able to sell these games with it will I? As they are all on my PS4 Pro? If so that’s a bit bad. I only thought about this recently. Am I wrong?

Well this is the downside of digital gaming. I pretty much factor that in when buying digital.

Sony were looking into licence revoked refunds - so if you give up a license for a game you would be refunded some money. Unfortunately nothings happened since then.

Anyway, dont even consider selling your vr collection it yours forever!

nope best you can do is delete them but you can't resell them

it's one of the reasons Physical media will not go away for a LONG time because we, the consumer actually have some control over that medium

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

Yep as others say that's one of the downside of buying digital, you can't trade, sell your digital collection. They only way really is if you sell your account as well. I have seen some people do that. For example I have seen Wii Us and 3DSs that people sell on eBay for eaxmple and they are usually higher then the normal price but that's cause the seller factors in digital games included. But you only want to do that if you don't want your account anymore.

@Alpine021 I really don't understand why this is different to non-PSVR digital games? Its certainly no worse at all and the same principal applies here too. You could never sell your digital PS4 games either - whether you sell your PS4 or not. However if you had bought Physical copies, you can sell them on regardless of whether you have a PS4 or PSVR headset. I know some people that sell games on eBay for example long after they have sold the hardware needed. The only difference here is that you need both a PSVR headset AND PS4 to play these PSVR games but the same rules apply to PSVR digital games as they do to non-PSVR games.

As @Tasuki says, the ONLY option is to sell your entire PS account (name/password) but that would also sell your entire digital collection PS4 & PSVR digital collection - inc all your IGC games, trophies etc - everything in one bundle. You cannot sell just the Digital games or even some - its your whole account and everything associated with it. If you wish to remain on PS, you would then have to start from scratch, create a new account with zero trophies etc.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

im Likely never selling my PS4 (I’ve still got my PS3). But a lot of PSVR games seem to be D/L only so you can’t sell them with your headset should you decide to. I’ve already bought Rez infinite on D/L and considering buying Moss (D/L only) so there’s 2 games I wouldn’t be able to sell with the headset if I chose to sell it. Just a shame you can’t get maybe a code so people could get the game. That code would mean it could only be played on one system maybe? And then the previous system was blocked? Not happening is it...!

@Alpine021 no its not. The publishers hate second hand sales.

The reality is for me, with a digital game Im simply not paying top buck for a release game as I wont recoup any dosh at all. Retail is generally a touch cheaper and I get that sell on value. Mark my words though, what we are seeing with psvr will be the norm next gen with 80%+ of releases just like we see on PC.
