Topic: Do you think VR can save no man's sky from the abyss?

Would you go back to the No Man's Sky universe if Hello Games brought in VR Support? I have recently joined the world of PSVR and from what I've seen I think it could be the the lifeline it sorely needs to save it from the blackhole it is being sucked towards. I personally like the game and I can also see why a lot of the gaming community has been disappointed but VR could bring the extra bit of magic dust to revive the gaming equivalent of marmite. What do you think? post your opinions below

Agree on this - I didn't buy No Man's Sky because I didn't think it would be my thing BUT I play VR for the experience, not gameplay and I think that the experience of exploring VR worlds and universe would be amazing.

However, since it didnt deliver with promised functionality not sure it will ever get patched. One can dream though!

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot

I don't think VR would do anything for No Man's Sky. The game is just broken, dull, and repetitive, and I don't think slapping a headset on and waving around a couple of controllers that look like robotic iced cream cones is going to change that.

The game would probably be better on PSVR but does the game run at 60fps at the moment? Never played the game but does it need saving? I would imagine the game has made some good money. I think the game could evolve into something better than it is now but whats the point when the users feel let down by broken promises and silence from the developers. I can not imagine the active users for the game is big anymore.

The only people that will get enjoyment out of No Man's Sky VR are the people who already enjoy it now. There has been too much negative feedback, issues etc. for anyone who isn't enjoying it now to go OMG I need that for PSVR.

The ship has sailed on this game.

I have to be honest I got bored with NMS before the foundations update but it has definitely added more longevity to the game. WIth regards to the move controllers with VR Games I much prefer the PS Controller. I think VR games work best when you have the the scale and immersion of VR while using the PS4 controller to move your character around....I'm not a big fan of the move controllers, not enough control options for me. What do you reckon @get2sammyb

Agree with Sammy. A boring game is a boring game. VR might make it cool for five minutes, but once it becomes the status quo for your experience with the game, it'll go back to being boring.

No Man's Sky is poisoned now. They could release an update that caused your PS4 to spit fivers out of the Blu Ray drive and it wouldn't recover.

No. The game's boring at its core, so even the act of existing in its worlds wouldn't really change that.

I bought it only after the Foundation update and I'm enjoying it on Survival as it is.
BTW, I bet they'll be praised again as gods if they put out a "Playboy update" where the aliens met in space stations and outposts are replaced by bunny girls...

Praise the Sun, and Mario too.
