I am from Russia, sometimes from Kazakhstan, though. In Russia I mostly live in Ekaterinburg. In Kazakhstan, in a village called Balckashino. It has great ski track and a lot of little mountains and hills to ski from them with the wind. Oh, lol. And Yekaterinburg is just a city, pretty big, one of the biggest in Russia. But I don't care, I hate cities, if you ask me. I've been in Moskow couple of times and it felt like inferno with all those crowds and millions of cars in rush hours. Oh... anyways, I don't care about Eburg(short version of Yekaterinberg), and because of that have no idea what it is fmous for. Only funny thing about this city is that all my female friends here have name Ekaterina(Katya - in short) Because this city is called in the name of queen Ekaterina the second and parents here like to call their daughters Ekaterinas.
