Umm with almost every game nowadays having an online mode you might want to explain what an online game is. When someone says online game to me I think of games like World of Warcraft, Destiny, Neverwinter Nights, etc. I don't consider games like Grand Theft Auto V, Golf Story, sports games like Madden or even Call of Duty online games even though they have an online mode to them.

I'm not really into online games but I do/did play these quite regularly:

FFXIV A Realm Reborn - A solid and fantastic MMO. I spent a good 3 years playing and loved it. I stopped just before the Stormblood expansion came out but i thought Heavensward was fantastic. Over 6 million players now.

GTA Online - It's come on leaps and bounds since it first started with so much free content to have your fun. It's a riot with a few mates.

Elite Dangerous - If I get sick of being a legit trader, i can always lurk in the shipping lanes as a villainous pirate. I'll always love this game.

Destiny - I only picked up the first one a few months ago but I quite enjoyed my time with it. I did play most of it solo, though.

@Tasuki Any game with co-op or competitive online gameplay is eligible. Though it has to be a game that you play with others so games that only have leaderboards and other non-social network features don't count.

Gwent. A lot of updates, it's free, no one ever quits a game randomly and online play is rewarding.

I used to love, but stopped playing Rocket League, mostly due to there being a lot of bad apples online. At least when I played it the community was pretty toxic, and there were many bad losers (which is even worse when they're on your team)... and the inclusion of loot boxes turned all friends I met on there into Scrooge McDuck's.

Other games on PS4 just couldn't hold my attention. Outside of PlayStation... Mario Kart 8 is really cool online.

Also star wars battlefront 2 user score on ps4 metacritic is 0.9 from 2500 scores, so probably that.

Well I vote for Destiny 2! I think its been a poor year for new 'online' games and got most of my online fix with older games rather than any 2017 games. Its telling as my 2nd choice is SWBF2 with CoDWW2 in 3rd - just because of Zombies...

Are Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne eligible for this? If so then they get my votes, I've had some good laughs in multiplayer on these.
