Forgot about these two because I played the game on PC, but it is now on PS4 so...
Sans and Papyrus (Undertale).
Why is it a contest when this guy's in?
I tried to come up with ones people haven't mentioned.
Liara (Mass Effect)
Anya (Wolfenstein: The New Order)
Hana (Fear Effect)
Dr Nerfarious & Lawrence (Ratchet & Clank)
Lady Maria (Bloodborne)
Fetch (Infamous Second Son)
Echo (Killzone Shadow Fall)
Blanka & Guile (Street Fighter)
Wanda & Argo (Shadow of the Colossus)
D-Dog (Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, he was really useful)
Chie, Kanji, Rise, Teddie, Yosuke, Yukiko and Naoto (Persona 4)
Trico (The Last Guardian)
Yennifer & Triss (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)
Andrew Ryan (Bioshock)
Eva (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater)
Suzuki (Everybody's Golf)
Manny Calavera (Grim Fandango)
Now some that might not count but worth a try
The woman's voice (All Housemarque games)
Bread (I Am Bread)
The Playroom Bots (Playroom)
And Shuei Yoshida (Super Time Force Ultra)
Sorry but emulation talk is not allowed here. -Tasuki-

Just a note: I was looking forward to including Geralt and a friend from The Witcher 3 in this, but yeah, they won't be making the cut based on our rules for entry. Huge shame!
I already mentioned him, but Trico is so impressive and charismatic, probably my favorite character ever.
Does Agro from SOTC count as a "character"?
@Octane Technically yes but I doubt he's going to make it into this tournament.
@ShogunRok Hey, you were the one asking for as many recommendations as possible!
We've had a bit of a rethink on characters from something like The Witcher. At the end of the day, more people probably know Geralt from the games rather than the books, so we're starting to think he should probably be included.
Point still stands regarding anime/movie characters, though. If we start including Naruto characters and Dragon Ball Z characters and Marvel characters we'll have a geek culture tournament on our hands rather than a video game tournament.
Also, the initial plan was to make this a 64 character single elimination tournament, but we're really struggling to keep the number of characters that low. As such, we're now targeting 124 characters, making this a massive undertaking.
Keep the recommendations coming!
@ShogunRok It's not an issue that the first two games weren't on PlayStation? Anyway, in that case:
Geralt of Rivia
The Bloody Baron
Olgierd von Everec
I believe that most of the Witcher's cast is better written than most characters in other games. The first five are the most memorable main cast. Dandelion and Zoltan are lot better portrayed in the books IMO. The Bloody Baron, Gaunter O'Dimm and Olgierd von Everec are probably the best written characters aside from Geralt himself.
@ShogunRok Assuming you are aiming for 128 rather than 124 (wouldn't mention it, but if it is an error in your notes rather than in this post it could make some later rounds awkward).
I'll try a few more given this new limit:
Artorios and Sif (Dark Souls)
Captain Qwark (Ratchet and Clank)
Guybrush Threepwood (Monkey Island)
@Dichotomy Whoops, yeah, I meant 128, which is obviously double 64.
Adam Jenson - Deus Ex (not sure he got mentioned)
-Lee Everett (The Walking Dead) - not sure if he was in the comics. I know he’s not in the TV show
-The Prince (The Prince of Persia)
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
@Th3solution Nope he was made exclusively for the Tell Tale game.
Push Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
@Octane Absolutely, imo.
Kitsuto (Ore No Shikabane o Koete Yuke, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines)
Specter (Ape Escape Series)
A pack of Hellhounds from Dragon's Dogma. They are so annoyingly troublesome.
Many of my favorites have already been named (like Aloy, The Boss, Captain Quark and Wigsplitter87), but I wouldn't want for these four to be overlooked:
@Octane I love that cast so much. You could fill a contest with solely characters from this game.
