Topic: Increased Ads

Not quite sure if it's a bug or not but the last few days on both here and Nintendo Life I noticed the amount of ads have doubled on the articles, a few adds are even duplicates. I am using my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 if that helps at all.

It is true that they have doubled. I checked on my Win 10 PC, Win 10 Phone and Android tablet.

Just checked the same article both on PC and phone: no problems with Win 10, while ads are doubled on the Android phone.

We're looking into this. We don't have control over what's displayed in the widget at the bottom of articles, but we're in contact with the people who do.

We recently switched the "recommendations" widget from RevContent back to Taboola - which I believe is still being tweaked and changed.

That said, we've just changed the site around a bit on mobile, so that now the comments section should appear above this recommendations widget, which I believe solves the issues you might be having.

@antdickens No change for me Ant. The recommended for you adds are still showing up before the comments on my phone. I even cleared cookies and cache hoping that would fix it and nothing. Even worse the added ads make loading the pages really slow.
