Topic: Issue asking me to re-input card details

Hi all everytime I buy something from the playstation store it keeps asking me to re-input my card details because my last sign in was on a different console when it wasn't. Wondered if anyone has had the same problem and what I can do to resolve it. I have googled it and supposedly it's nothing to worry about but seems weird to me even after multiple system updates.

@QualityGeezer Has been happening to me for years, kind of annoying but Ive resorted to just buying from to online store on my phone or computer as a workaround.

@redd214 snap mate it's just really annoying. DR Google has reassured me it's nothing sinister but would rather it didn't happen especially with no obvious fix

@QualityGeezer I also get it a lot. I assume it’s that I sometimes look at games through the store online as well.

It is annoying but does mean I know my security code very well though now.

@QualityGeezer yeah I hear ya, have gone back and forth multiple times with customer service but for whatever reason they can't fix it for me either. Granted I have had a bunch of ps4s (think we're e on our 7th and 8th now) but still shouldn't be having the problem.

@redd214 @Thrillho as long as it doesn't mean our bank accounts are compromised then I suppose it's ok. First world problems hey

@QualityGeezer do you have a PS3, a PSVita and do you use the webstore?

if yes to any of these then that's why it's doing it because if you have used any of those at any time prior to buying something then you have used your account on another console and it does it to me all the time as i don't keep my detail on the store so each time i buy something i have to input my details again but i use my Vita do it because it's quicker and easier, thus i was last signed in on another console

@LN78 just tried that mate didn't work plus kudos for the question on @redd214 how the hell you going through so many are you eating them or something lol

QualityGeezer

redd214

@QualityGeezer @LN78 lol no, I just tend to switch them out if there is a refresh/update or if theres a good flipping opportunity. Last year for example on Black Friday the Spiderman slim bundle was $200, Traded in my old slim, got, $190 credit, bought the bundle then sold Spiderman since I already had it. Made $30, got a newer console, new warranty, minimal effort

@QualityGeezer that is Weird?

then i'm not sure what's causing it unless it's a security measure Sony put in place

@redd214 OK that's pretty savvy i gotta say

I've been burnt before with money being taken from my bank account, so I never store my card details on a console, especially since the Sony hacks from a few years back. I always buy store credit vouchers or go through PayPal.

Happens to me on PS4 even when getting PS Plus games. However I have a Vita, PS3 and online app so guessed it was that. So I just use phone app now for purchases. On the down side it means I tend to buy more games on the bog...

Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
