I freely admit I've had a week off from video games really. Sometimes you need a bit of break to recharge your appetite, and I'm itching to dig back into God of War Ragnarok this weekend.

Black Friday tempted me, so I picked up the Capcom Fighting Collection. However, I'd rather start doing a Final Fantasy VII Intergrade run since Crisis Core is right around the corner.

I'm chipping away at the rest of my PSVR backlog and it is so much fun. I will probably finish the first ever announced game for PSVR today: Golem. I enjoy it quite a bit. After that, I'm going straight back to Wanderer which I played an hour of when it first released but got distracted by something else. Every time I put that headset on, it reminds me of how awesome VR is and how much the VR factor alone adds to a game. I'm so pumped for February.

GOWR coming up on 40 hours and its more epic and probably the best sequel ever. Gotham Knights I got on sale and its not bad for a spin off. I also got Evil West for half price but that hasn't turned up yet
At a bit of a gaming crossroads - now I've finished the (incredible) GoWR story, do I push on for the platinum? Or do I go back to Tales of Arise, which I paused to play GoWR when around two thirds through that story? Maybe I start something new, a shorter game as a palate cleanser. Guaranteed procrastination incoming... my bet is I stare at my 70 game backlog and boot up nothing.
Forbidden west. Level 20 so far and finished up to Plainsong. Enjoying it so far, just a little similar to the last one. Glider is cool. Playing in the 40fps mode

As for me. Not PS related but I'm trying to finish Xenoblade 3. The game starts so strong but absolutly sh**s the bed on the last 2 chapters.

Last weekend I finished the plat for graveyard keeper, and haven’t really found a game I’m 100% into. Been playing a bit of punchline, and I’m about 80% on Onee Chanbara Origin at the moment, in terms of whether I want to continue.
Problem is I’m just wanting to play my PSVR2 but can’t do anything to speed up it getting here. Feel like I’m just burning through time until it does.
Edit: just started Spiritfarer on Extra. Liking the game so far, so I’ll probably stick with this.
More GOWR for me, it is just superb and I won't stop until I have that shinny platinum - brilliant game
Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077 2nd playthroughs. Street Kid female V this time. The branches in conversations are so complicated you could do a 100 playthroughs just to hear the different responses. Gotta love that colorful npcs and world, so beautiful. And Elden Ring, dunno what Miyazaki puts in his games but when you start it's hard to stop.
GOW still, i must be 20 hours in. Its fantastic, apart from the awful map. There is a place in hell for whomever thought this map was good enough! .
I've moved onto the new Pokemon game. Got the platinum for GOWR yesterday. What an amazing game it was! Would love to play it again another day with photo mode

On switch I will be playing more Pokémon Violet and Mario and Rabbids sparks of hope
And on Series S it's Deathloop and I want to try Warzone 2.0, also just picked up Cyberpunk 2077 for £23 off cd keys, so might give that a try also.
God of War Ragnarök. That’s it. I usually have a few games going at the same time, but all I want to play is GOWR. If I start playing something else I just end up thinking “I could be playing GOWR” 😂

Completed the glorious masterpiece-Ragnarok. Everything was just brilliant, story, graphics, combat. But I especially loved Kratos performance. The evolution of kratos on ps2 to ps5 is just breathtaking-loved seeing Kratos showing emotion & the little movements of his face when he was trying to keep/hide his emotions in. Awesome motion capture. As I competed Ragnarok last week.I started to play evil west after,but just couldn’t get into it. So I’m playing Mario kart instead & just waiting for Callisto protocol next week.
Playing Shin Megami Tensei 3 (remaster**). Asterisks because some/a lot of it is shoddy work. Cut scenes weren’t even polished up- taken right from the base game and inserted in. Despite all of that, I love the turn base battles.
Streaming a little R&C 1 HD when I’m not out, helping my momma bear decorate the house,

@Cyrus29 GoW Ragnarok was awesome!! I’m debating playing the old ones. I’ve only played the recent two and adored them. I did it back-to-back so seeing the improvements from one to the next was astonishing. Glad you enjoyed it!
I finished Salt and Sacrifice during the week, so I'm back to Century: Age of Ashes and FF VII Remake for the weekend.

I might start up Pentiment or I might just wait for Sports Story to play something. I’ve had more concentrated gaming the past couple weeks than I’ve had in a while and, as much as I love that, I want my gaming to be relaxing this weekend, I’d I get to game at all. I’ve got to work the weekend and have got sick kids, so we’ll see if I play anything. Wouldn’t be surprised if I dust off Mario Kart or Warioware or something casual to play with my son though.
I really should be playing the mighty god of war but its the world cup and there are 4 good matches today back to back so i'm going to be watching the footie...have a good weekend everybody 👍

Picked up Evan's Remains, Lake and Chenso Club in a recent sale, so I'll probably fire up one of those and have an indie weekend.

I've just got Extra so I've been trying a lot of games, but I think I'll mainly be playing The Fractured but Whole, Redeemer and Dark Rose Valkyrie.
It took me 41 hours to finish God of War: Ragnarok, but I'm definitely not ready to move on until I get the platinum. All the collectibles are surprisingly fun to get, they aren't a chore at all! I tried briefly going back to Ghost of Tsushima, but I was too used to the God of War controls and ended up getting killed instantly, so I'll put that on hold for now 😅
As last 3 weeks - Witcher 3 ...between clicking my 40K Orks out of sprue....
I'll be finishing Ragnarok this weekend. After that I think I'll be starting the Ezio Collection.
Clearing up the last remaining trophies for Gotham Knights. I have had a lot of fun with it, bugs and all.
Will also be finding time for Skyrim and Pokemon Violet too.
God of War Ragnarok (hopefully finishing the story this weekend). Then I should get back to Star Ocean The Divine Force, or maybe finally stop holding off FF7R Intergrade. Crisis Core is coming out soon and I need to play Remake again as well as do the Yuffie DLC. Just debating whether to wait to do it over Christmas or invest that time into the PS5 version of Persona 5 Royal I nabbed off Amazon on Black Friday (40% off the launch edition, how could I say no?).
More God of War Ragnarok. Then probably some God of War Ragnarok on the side. If I can squeeze it in, probably some God of War Ragnarok too.
I usually don't play that many games at one time, but I've heard some good things about this God of War Ragnarok, so I must.
Evil West. I’ve played around 3 hours so far and I’m enjoying it but I don’t love it like I thought I would. I think it might have been a mistake to play this right after God of War Ragnarok because that’s all I can think about now.

I'm working my way through Dark Souls 2 at the moment. Nothing grabbed me in the black Friday sales so seemed like the right time. It's the only souls game I haven't beaten multiple times (except Elden Ring) I remember thinking it was the weakest DS game but I'm really enjoying it!
I'm playing Phantom Doctrine, which is like a stealthy X-COM in an alternative 80's cold war setting. It's good but also a bit repetitive, unfortunately.
@xx_PharsydeChemist_x I’m not really sure how I’ll feel about it. Based on what I’ve read and seen about it, the game may very much be something I enjoy, though, then again, it may not be. It’s incredibly niche, so I respect that either way. And yet, after Sonic and Pokémon and Ragnarok, in such a small period of time, I’m perhaps ready for something slower. I dunno. It’s essentially the only critically acclaimed title left for me to try this year, outside of what has yet to release, so there’s that.
I’m still playing God of War Ragnarok (PS5). I’m roughly 65-70% through with the game, and clocking in at 42 hours so far. I have gotta say - this game is absolutely incredible. It continues to surprise me with new locations and tools even so late in the game, and it’s so difficult to put the controller down because I want to constantly explore. There aren’t many games that can capture my attention in such fashion, but this one has its grips on me. I believe this game is truly a masterpiece, and it’s certainly one of PlayStation’s greatest outings.
On a side note: I’m getting married next Saturday and then going on a week long honeymoon. I’m hoping I’ll be able to complete GOWR before then, and maybe even obtain the Platinum trophy. I have a feeling I won’t be able to due to working full time and working on last minute wedding stuff, but damn it, I’m gonna try. Lol.

I finally beat A Plague Tale R (PS5) a couple days ago. Fantastic game and easily my GOTY. As for this weekend, I'm working two 12 hour shifts. I won't be playing anything.
I'll be continuing with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. And also, I'm in the mood for giving the original Pokemon Snap a try.
Taking my time with GOW R & restart Stray + Rollerball (PS).
If there’s enough time I’ll begin with (Edit: on Game Pass) RTMI if completed A Plaque Tale R. & Somerville. This week it was FH5 & Grid Legends mostly. Started playing Gun Grave (Edit: via GP) & even though it’s dumb fun, there are better games in that area but I like the variety in playing games. Some games are better than others but as long it’s not too bad I want the experience. Haven’t touched my NS for awhile now (did a couple of short sessions but they don’t really count imo).
There’s the WC so … + almost went for a buy because of it If it had the 2010 SA FIFA atmosphere I would’ve caved for sure

Well Ragnarok is the obvious answer even though I find it’s not the quality 2018 was. I dipped back into Valkyrie Elysium and that Ragnarok story doesn’t get in the way of letting me actually play.
Otherwise the excellent Inscryption, which has me hooked on what always might happen next. On Switch Bayo 2, and some GP games before I let the sub expire ( too much to play too little time to play it all).
@Pusher2021 I wanted to get Gun Grave but multiple reviews I trust scared me off until there is a sale. Seemed not worth the price of current admission.
Since I’m in between games at the moment while I’m waiting for The Callisto Protocol to drop on Friday, I’m going back and finishing up some of the DLC from Fenyx Rising. Some of it is quite fun and some of it is a seriously grindy bore.
And since it’s rivalry weekend in college football, I’ll be watching UM vs OSU. GO BLUE!!!!!!!

Dmc 2. Not the biggest dmc fan but I can't understand why this is considered a bad game. I'm still very early on like mission 5 early. But it plays almost exactly like the 1st game. My only problem so far is the fixed camera somehow feels worse than in 1. Will be continuing through that
Playing through Psychonauts 2. I’ve had it for ages and wish I played it sooner. Enjoyable game.

Wow! I got to say I never thought I'd see that opinion on DMC2 but hey I like Lair (yes, the PS3 game Lair) so I definitely understand liking a game that was universally panned.
But to give you the general ides why I don't like DMC2 as someone who is a huge DMC fan...
1: It's combat doesn't really feel like DMC combat. It's a lot slower, guns are way too powerful, combo potential feels limited.
2: Dante...just doesn't act like Dante. The coin flipping thing just kind of doesn't fit Dante's personality. (Although his costume design from DMC2 is actually liked by many fans I've seen at least)
3. The boss fights leave a lot to be desired. The only memorable one involves a helicopter...and it's not memorable in a good way.
There's more but those are kind of the main points for me personally. Glad to see your liking it though! As panned as DMC2 is it did introduce some series staples at least like bloody palace mode and the ability to shoot in two directions at once so it deserves at least some props for that!
Still playing through a load of lightgun games but mostly point blank. Bit of fifa between the footy too

Does he do the coin flip throughout the game? I did find that scene odd especially since that was like the only instance he's shown any personality so far. In the 1st game he was definitely more chatty so I can see why people wouldn't like the shift in character
As for the combat, I'm a bit surprised. I do agree combo potential is very weak, I've kinda been struggling really bad getting past rank c. But I wouldn't say it feels that much worse than 1. That said, I do prefer dmc1, I just don't think the sequel is that much worse so far. Either way I'm mainly playing it to finally get to 3-5 😆
Just watching the credits in GoWR what an utterly amazing game, never thought a game about god's beating the crap out of each other could be so beautiful and touching. Best duology in gaming as I played them back to back.
Still plenty to do but I must be around the 70 hour mark with quite a few trophies remaining.

Tried Evil West and asked for refund after seein the same combat animations from god of war, just stupid.
Playing ACC and E football this weekend.
Anyone not tried E football since the World Cup update should give it a try. Slowly getting the gameplay back to true PES quality. Not tried the online mode as last time I did it sucked but the offline mode is pretty decent with World Cup related competition. Some how FIFA have the WC licence but E football still has the official kits for international teams.

Finally getting into Tokyo Ghostwire having owned it since launch. Also playing Temtem, which is a surprisingly good Pokémon alternative.
I put down Gotham Knights for a bit. Ill jump back in as i feel like it. Its fun but onky in short bursts. I’m now realky getting unti Deathloop. I never gave that game a chance when it came out. Now that I’m actually in it i really like it! Nice change of pace. Also dipped back into GT7 with the new update. Have a great weekend!

Have moved straight on to Trails From Zero and boy am I glad to be playing on console rather than PC! Very early days, so the characters haven't grabbed me as much as the ones in Sky yet, but I'll give it time. I love the setting though, Crossbell is my new home.

Ragnarok ,this game is superb ive been gaming for decades and I have to say this is one of the best games I've ever played ,I've been playing for 47hrs and the games just threw a whole new area at me with new enemies ,if this is jim Ryan's argument that day one releases would reduce quality of first party titles i totally agree,well worth the £63 I paid for it ,truly amazing experience.

@edwinjoe450 totally agree ,with the voice work and the animation of the character, its top tier stuff ,I knew it was gonna be something special right and the begining when he was thinking about his wife ,and there was a slight finger tremble ,the guy looks like he wants to burst into the tears ,47hrs in and I dont want it to end so holding back on main story.
@xeofate yeah I enjoyed tales more than hfw, don't know what it was about it but I found it a bit boring and aloy was getting on my nerves, also the mens burger nips knocked me sick 😂😂
Uncharted 2 for the first time. I loved the 4th and 1st.
I'm at the world cup. Would be watching 4 games . Last played Ragnarok before leaving home. This game just gets better and better.
