Poll: Which PS Plus Tier Are You Subscribed To?

Premium only till November because I was converted. Weirdly it's saying mine will only be 49.99 for a year extension, could be an error but I'm pouncing on it either way.

Got my Premium until October thanks to PS Now. Hopefully by that point I’ll be able to resubscribe but for now, I’m chuffed that I don’t have anything coming off my account monthly anymore.

I upgraded to extra at £28 and even though I own/played many of the bigger games there's still the likes of Stray launching next month on it which covers the cost alone. Plus as I've just got into using a wheel there's plenty or racing games to have fun with amd I've been curious about Returnal and Concrete Genie so it's an easy choice and a great selection of games and I've already downloaded quite a few.

The PS1 selection is severely lacking at the moment and the "classics" selection is just weird as it's filled with many PS4 remasters of older games but then you have similar and often older games on the extra tier, it's just bizarre.

Overall I'd say its exceptional value for money and hopefully we get more PS1 and PSP games. As I was able to download Resident Evil and a couole of orhers for free I didn't feel the need to go for premium at the moment

I've got years and years of premium, basically for free due to combined PS+ and Now. It was really the most cost effective way to go if you lucked out and had that setup.

Premium till Oct '27 but really wish i had just plumped for Extra. Got a hacked PS3 with 3TB drive full of ps1, ps2, Ps3 n psp games so the Premium tier really is surplus to my requirements. Guessing there's no way to drop a tier and extend my subscription length?

Will cost me about £47 for 514 days of Extra. When I get back from holiday, and then finish Tales of Arise, then Blue Reflection, I’ll look into switching. Will give me time to see what quality of games they add and at which type of frequency.

I upgraded to extra for just under £15 and grabbed returnal and wrc10...will see how it goes until its time to renew my sub and see if i'll stay with it..

I'm sticking to essential for now at least. I tried Game Pass for a bit and while it's certainly a great value, I found myself preferring to just buy the games I want to play instead of hoping it shows up on a service. Maybe I'll give PS's version a shot some day but for now I'm still happy with individual purchases.

Just regular for me, Thinking of not renewing once my sub is up in August. Will focus on my backlog which will keep me going for quite sometime and save some cash.

Premium until the end of 24 but only because I picked up a 3 month Now card off ebay after reading here about the 'hack'. It's OK imo, really just now and plus combined which a couple of ps5 games included so hardly earthshattering

No choice in the matter. I'm Premium until next May. My Plus got renewed at the end of last month, and my Now only had about a week left on it. I suppose Sony saved me about £45 there, so I'm not complaining. Further to that, there's a number of games on my wishlist that have gone on to the service, so Sony has saved me the purchase of those also.

Premium. Classic game catalog is lacking but most of what I'd want to play I have many other places anyways. Overall it's great as is and look forward to it improving over time!

None, never liked the idea of subscription based gaming, mainly because my taste in games is quite narrow (horror themed/like third person shooter games mainly).

Besides I've really jumped ship the last 10 years and almost completely play handhelds these days (a much less stressful and "intimate" way of playing IMO - can't wait to get my hands on a Steam Deck ).

Currently using Premium because I bought PS Now when it was 50% off. It will run out at the end of October. Really enjoying the classic games again. Just wish there was a much bigger selection to choose from for it's extra charge. If the list doesn't grow much, then it would push me down to Extra when it runs out.

I’m not even interested in Ps4 games anymore let alone anything older than that. And with no new AAA games coming to any of the tiers and me having played anything of note released on ps5 already the only thing I could be less interested in is parliament question time or netball. Or anime. Or JRPG games. Or online multiplayer. Lol I guess there’s a lot but either way it’s a pass from me

Premium, for 7 days then back to essential. No Demons souls ps3 despite being on the EU official site list. Classic list is genuinely poor, where's mgs, ff8, silent hill? where's gitaroo man, rez ps2 version? Where's ff13? Nothing premium about it.

Premium for me. Was only about 10 euros difference and the ps3 streaming still has a lot of games I have to play. Pretty happy with the total lineup

I'm on Essential at the moment but will probs upgrade to Extra next week. That runs until end of August so will see if I stay subbed.

used to get most of this for half the price it is now on psnow. problem is nobody used it.

Solution double the price call it something new and hey presto everyone loves it

I locked into 2 years of premium for the price of 1. Its all about retro games being added and it has been very bad to start

Extra here. Happy with that, premium would be a waste for me regardless of the catalogue

Id also like to see some kind of a road map too, not to far ahead in the future, but announce something along with any new titles a "Coming Soon" section too.

We’ve got extra and I wanted that specifically for the ps5 version of wreckfest.. but it’s linked to premium whereas I can download the PS4 version.. is this a glitch or correct because I can have any other ps5 game

Digimon world 1 or 2 makes it an easy Premium sub for me

Subbed to PS+ extra for a year. Already playing Returnal, and have downloaded a couple of racing games to try out. With this and GamePass I now have too many games to play 😂

Premium until the end of November. Only 27 bucks to upgrade.

At that time I’ll probably move down to extra barring Sony dropping some big PS1 and PSP games.

Premium until next Christmas, as I had PS plus stacked until then, and PS now until this October.

Between this and my backlog I should really stop myself from hitting any games for a while - maybe I can use that money to buy a new GPU for my PC now that they're pretty much down to normal prices (except for the ones that haven't had their hash rates nerfed)

Still undecided. Extra seems like a no-brainer, but I can't decide whether I want to go Premium as well for a bunch of old games that, realistically, I'll play for ten minutes then go back to the latest PS5 release. Will make my mind up later

@paulbuck1996 with premium you get everything. You can even stream the games from the "extra" tier (except ps5 games) if you're short of storage to download them, or want to be able to play them from a PC while someone else uses the console

Paid £10 for 90 days of my plus upgraded to extra. Will wait to see how premium holds up because I might get that for the year after.

I’m on Essential and unlikely to upgrade to anything else for a variety of reasons specific to my personal situation but I absolutely see the value of the other tiers.

There are a few games I'm interested in but seeing they are giving an end date already for some games it makes me wonder how much time I will have.I like to play and make my games last so I don't want to feel rushed.Red Dead Redemption 2 for example would take me well past the planned removal date..

Right now, none. My sub expired and I've found myself gaming more and more on my Switch Lite. Maybe once its easier to find a PS5 I might get one, then re-subscribe.

I'm playing my ps3 atm because my ps5 is basically a waste of time and money. The catalog on the ps3 store is sooo much better than these new tiers. You can get a ps3 with a ton of games for around 100 euro on ebay which is way better than wasting time on these god awful subscriptions. Just my opinion

I've got the premium i found it a bit confusing with games here there and everywhere ,the ui needs a revamp imo

Just paid for premium to upgrade for 6 days £1.40 on plus to make a decision to see if I want to stay at premium. Shopto sell a £100 voucher just over £89 so I'll see then.

I got premium, it wasn't that much, pro rata'd. I'm probably have a good think about it next year when it'll be £100 to pay.

The classic selection is pretty poor.

There's no real way to be filter by platform, at least that I've found.

The PS5 collection is good, but I already own most of them physically.

Hopefully they crack on and start adding as many PS1 and PS2 games as they can.

This is also my first time playing PS Now streamed games and... It sucks, as expected. I still have a PS3, so, I'll play them.

@Wiggo essential will update the first Tuesday of every month, same as old PS+. Extra Premium Deluxe will update the third Tuesday of every month (starting July). So every 2-3 weeks will add new games to the overall service.

I must be the only one where I've got premium but I can't get it to work.
My console won't load up the catalogue of games, or recognise it as a service.

No idea what the frig is wrong with it, it's not their servers, I've restarted it, checked my connection and speed, logged off and signed back in, checked for updates... 🤬🤬🤬

My issue with it is that I’ve already played and hit platinum on most of the newer games on the service, and while I’ll dig into a lot of the older stuff over time I’ve already got a beast of a backlog tbh. If you were new to PlayStation though the value proposition is through the roof!

Premium for now. I need to see the cadence for new additions to the classic catalog, as I think it's currently the main disappointment with the service. At least two games people actually want a month is the minimum, for me, otherwise I'll unsub until the library is built up.

are the games streamed from the cloud or downloaded if i can download the games like PS Plus i would upgrade do not want to have to stream from the cloud

I upgraded to Premium because I had Essential until 2025. I figured I'll try it until then because I didn't have to pay full price for it and if it sucks I'll cancel then.

Extra is an outstanding value in my opinion. Even though it was only a few bucks more I didn’t go for premium. There’s plenty of great ps4/5 games on Extra for me to bother going back to ps3 and earlier. If I had unlimited time sure. But I don’t.

I have Plus Essential only because there is not a Plus Basic tier to downgrade to. Plus Basic, online play and cloud saves, no not free games you will never play or already have, 30usd.

What may the numbers be of downgraders versus upgraders if a 30usd priced Plus Basic tier would be a new choice?

I'm on Premium. The Classic selection is... a start, for sure. I love the features with the PS1 games available currently, but they really need to add more.

I got bumped up to premium until November because of my PS Now sub (got it half price last year). First thing I downloaded was Tekken 2 still fun to play and it's cleaned up nicely and I downloaded Ghost Of Tsushima to play Iki Island.

Much like Gamepass I'm not sure I'd sub to it but I can see myself having a month here and there, I'm interested to see how often Sony add games - across all platforms - to it. The classics selection is really poor given how long ago they announced this would be happening.

Extra for 11 months, will probably keep it yearly until the catalogue dries up. It's great to have digital content ready to go. Download the few you're most interested in to get the value, claim some more ready to download at the drop of a hat.

This will be a service used to
1. Catch up on games I miss out on at launch, or for years even.
2. Plug the gaps in the game release calender when there's nothing new to buy that I'm interested in.
3. Try story driven games in the future that I was really hyped about buying, but then didn't buy because I saw the gameplay videos (I'm looking at you Forspoken with 10 minutes blasting boring bullet spongy rock monsters with magic over and over and over and over and over again to unlock a rubbish chest in the open world not linked to any objective or story)

PS Plus Extra: the flop avoidance service 😁

(Hope it doesn't flop, but I don't dare buy it because the combat gameplay looked exactly like the thing I hate most in fantasy games. Repetitive and tedious with flashy graphics to distract from the monotony)

Stuck with the Essential for now because I'm still playing other games. I'll likely upgrade for a month just to play and plat GoT.

Have got premium, and would happily continue to pay for it if the tier didn't feel so slap dash. PS2 games are a disastrous mess on PS5 (in their current state they should not he released) - there is no level of consistency with PS1 games, Streaming PS3 games isn’t desirable and the choice of PSP games boggles the mind (basically lesser versions of console games - just give us the console games and instead release PSP games unique to the system). If this has done anything, it has made me appreciate Nintendo’s NSO retro collection all the more, and that still needs to be much better (it should just be the VC of yesteryear) and Xbox’s back compat they put effort into makes Sony look like they truly don’t give a solitary poop. All this has achieved so far is making there competitors look better than what they were.

I got the extra last month. Played returnal every day. We only get 3 tiers here . No interest in older games therefore deluxe is not an option for me .good value especially if you just bought a ps5 and you don't have games.

PSessential til Jun 2023. Reevaluate then. Probably just continue with same.

I've stuck to essential because my backlog is more than I can handle. I just finally finished Mass Effect 3 yesterday, after playing through 1&2 again. I have the end of DQXI to finish, Metal Gear V at 30%, Tsushima, Control, FFVII Remake, and I'm waiting for The Witcher 3 PS5 update to play for the first time. Extra is more than I personally, obviously lol

I wasn't even going to look at it to be honest but when I got an offer for upgrade to premium for 96 days for £13 and change I'm never going to turn that down. Had a crack at returnal and it's not for me but what an impressive game. I miss demo's and I think the game trials might be my best way around it.

Paid for Extra, had fun looking through the list then searching for games not on the list but should be (Deliver Us the Moon), added some to my Wishlist, but haven't tried anything yet as playing Resi 8 and GT 7.

I bought it mainly for Returnal and Stray. Just three months to start with, will see how it goes. Give it time and I think it will grow into something really special BUT as a compliment to my normal practice of buying the occasional big game Day One and waiting for sales on others, not in replacement of.

I'm not short of games, I'm short of time to play games. Just the Essential tier for me.

I'm still subscribed to Essential as I got it for free for a year when I got my PS5 as a gift, I've decided not to renew the subscription once it ends and continue to build my library with games I pick up at discounts and not having to worry about them disappearing

Make a article about how every region in Europe dont have the same games. I live on Croatia se dont have many PS3 games and some ps4

Just essential for me (regular) as I have a fully working PS3 to play any PS3 games I like, including all their DLC, unlike PS +++!

I can obviously also play PS1 games but they just look shocking on a decent size TV.

Only backwards compatibility I'm missing is the PS2 but given the joke levels of retro titles on PS+++, I don't think I'm missing anything.

I was looking yesterday to upgrade my subscription to the higher tier............ BUT, the games on the service aren't yours forever (as long as your a PS+ subscriber) if there taken off the list AND the games not still on your console......... You lose it?
Now with my current job. I am always getting bored of games, deleting them off my system and coming back to them at a later date, so paying extra for games that I won't finish and more than likely having to buy again in the future........ Just seems pointless to me.

@Mikey856 i got the same problem. could only select stream ps5 version and download ps4 version. but i fixed it!!. if you search for wreckfest in the ordinary psn store. then to the right the three dots. pick where it says something like pick version. then pick the ps5 version. and then it will say "+ download" instead of just "+ sream" and after i did that, i always can download ps5 version from the ps plus page or my games library.

@way2easy Deluxe is like premium but without all the PS3 streaming games . its for countrys that cant stream games. if you can choose premium. then its the better choice. countrys that have Deluxe dont have premium. so its always 3 tiers.

I upgraded my existing plus - which expires in October - to premium. Not thrilled with the selection of ps one games though, I'll see what they add between now and then, otherwise I'm switching to Extra

Jumping Flash and I can't wipe the smirk off my face lol. That damn game was waaay ahead of its time. And just some catchy ass music. My total upgrade til my current plus sub ended (146 days) cost me 20$ to try Premium for essentially 5 months. No brainer.

@LazyLombax I've yet to try the DualSense but yes, using the PS3 DS3 controllers feels cramped and uncomfortable after using the DS4 for any prolonged period.

Upgraded to Premium for a tenner, until November at least. Already downloaded 9 games that the family fancy playing. May fall back to Essential, though, we'll see.

Just essential for me. Already have everything on the list that I want. But looking forward maybe I will upgrade if they can entice me.
