Read this and then read it again: Media Molecule’s humble LittleBigPlanet is headed into American libraries as part of an Entertainment Software Association-backed initiative, aswell as a $300,000 game design challenge. Sony will donate 1,000 Playstation 3s and copies of LittleBigPlanet to libraries and community organisations. Participants will strive to create levels based on science, technology, engineering and maths.
Of course, we’re sure good PR has a little something to do with those donated Playstation 3s. But hey, this is awesome. And if it gets more kids hands on with LBP and (potentially) results in more fantastic levels, then it really is win-win for everyone.
This story kinda makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
