Both the Guardian and Telegraph have gone live with their Modern Warfare 2 reviews ahead of embargo (which PushSquare believes to be this evening), both outlets scoring the hyped-beyond-life-itself shooter perfect scores. The Guardian describe it as the most “polished, intelligent FPS” of the year.
The Telegraph have also heaped the praise on Infinity Ward’s creation claiming, “It may be debatable as to whether Modern Warfare 2 is objectively the best release of this year, but it’s certainly the finest game in its genre, as well one of the truly great games of this or indeed any year.”
Hype has reached fever-pitch for Activision’s military themed money machine right now. The jury is out on the game living up to that hype.
