Let’s Watch LittleBigPlanet Played With The Playstation Motion Controller

When we heard the Playstation Motion Controller was going to be supported by LittleBigPlanet, we instantly thought of Super Mario Galaxy’s bobble collecting solution. But in practice, LittleBigPlanet’s solution is much more refined. It looks as though levels can be designed with the controllers in mind, offering an experience where one player can play as Sackboy, and the other can manipulate the game’s physics with the motion controller.

Pretty cool. If Sony listened to our constructive feedback though, you could play with motion controls co-operatively or alone.

  • CodofWar
    This looks cool.
  • Don't like the way it's used in LBP, it doesn't quite follow the LBP way of sackboy doing all the work on his own or as a team.
  • Alas, I agree. Which is why I think the motion controllers should come in pairs and have analogue sticks. Not only does it ensure parity between everyone who invests (i.e. none of this developer wondering who has one remote in their house, and who has two) but it also provides full DualShock functionality and the ability to play a game like this alone, or co-operatively if you prefer.

It's a win-win-win-win-win as far as I'm concerned. The only problem would be the slightly increased cost of investment, but Sony have to take a hit if they want to make this a success.
  • But still it looks like you have one person playing, and another doing the job of the different bolts and stuff.
I'm not saying they can't impliment the controller in LBP, I'm just saying that SURELY there's a better way, a more LBP way of doing it.
  • I think it looks really nifty. A lot of fun. BUT IF SONY SOLD THE MOTION CONTROLLERS IN PAIRS AND PUT ANALOGUE STICKS ON BOTH YOU'D GET THE FULL DUALSHOCK FUNCTIONALITY AND 2 MOTION CONTROLLERS.

I'm not going to shut up about this until Sony listen. Seriously. They HAVE to do this.
