Playstation 3 Absolutely Crushes Japanese Hardware Sales Chart
We knew that the launch of the PS3 Slim was going to result in big sales for the PS3 Slim. But nothing says domination better than Kotaku’s pie chart. That big angry red Pacman — that’s Sony completely annihilating the Japanese sales charts. With over 150,000 units sold in the first week of the PS3 Slim, we’re carefully anticipating what kind of week-on-week boost Sony’s newly priced hardware will provide. The system has regularly been selling around 10,000 units a week in Japan; we expect somewhere around 25,000 once the dust has settled on the new system.
With sales up worldwide, we’re super excited by this turn around in Sony’s fortunes.
