Great trailer, but let's hope Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City can live up to it.

Hastily announced after a slew of rumours, then brushed aside because of its spin-off nature — the game needs to catch a break.

After being delayed at the end of last year, Capcom's hoping that the extra time will give its marketing and PR department more room to promote the title — and it's kicked off the year with an ambitious CG trailer.

While it's devoid of any gameplay, the trailer perfectly encapsulates Operation Raccoon City's chaotic, triple threat nature. The footage shows US Spec Ops fighting against the Umbrella Security Service, with a bunch of zombies in the middle. It's definitely a cool and unique concept for a multiplayer title, and the latest trailer makes the whole scenario look amazing.

It's just a question of whether developer Slant Six can match the trailer's tone in realtime gameplay.
