Reports suggest that Kazuo Hirai is on the verge of becoming the next President of Sony.

It's claimed that Howard Stringer will maintain his position as the company's CEO and chairman, but that Hirai will take over presidential duties as soon as April.

Hirai — who made his name rising through the ranks of the PlayStation business — is currently Executive Deputy President at Sony. His promotion comes in the wake of a forecasted $1.2 billion loss for the Japanese giant.

The very best of luck to you, Hirai-san. You're going to need it.
