Valve: We Can’t Be Arsed To Develop On PS3

Ever wondered why Valve games don’t come out on the PS3? Valve’s Tom Leonard has the answer:
The PC and the 360 are just more straightforward. We can focus on what we want to do, which is make game experiences, instead of sweating bullets over obscure architectural decisions they make with their platform. [...] I didn’t come into this business in the 90s because of some technical fetish. I came in because I wanted to give people experiences that made them have fun.
Seeing as virtually every other development house under the sun can manage to make games on the PS3, and given that Valve really aren’t the “God-like” development house they like to elevate themselves to, we’d love to give a big fuck you to the “fantastic” development house known as Valve – who can’t even be arsed to learn a different architecture.
Before the Valve fanboys jump into the comments – no we’ve never tried programming for the PS3. But you know who has? Eidos, Capcom, Ubisoft, EA, Epic, Bethesda, Ubisoft, THQ, SEGA… etc, etc. Quit your whining Valve and just admit you’re not the “wonderful” development house you pretend to be.
