Unfortunately, Fight Night: Champion Will Not Support PlayStation Move.

It's genuinely satisfying when you throw a punch and watch it connect on screen.

A perfect game for motion control punching would be the recently announced Fight Night: Champion. Sadly, in an interview with Eurogamer, EA's distanced themselves from the PlayStation Move. At least for now.

“[Fight Night: Champion is] a little bit too twitch-based, not to mention the fact that standing on your feet for three minutes and throwing punches is something that, believe it or not, might be beyond the fitness level of most gamers,” gameplay producer Brian Hayes said.

“The motion-based control systems, since they are very new and aren’t on the market yet… Fight Night: Champion has not been developed and is not currently being developed to utilise those.”

Brian was keen to stress that motion controlled boxing is something very much still on the table for the future, however.

“It’s definitely something that’s on the table in terms of exploration for us, but Fight Night: Champion is not being developed for Move or for Microsoft Kinect,” he said.

We're a little disappointed. We understand EA's decision, and given the technical quirks apparent in The Fight, appreciate they're taking their time to do this thing right. But man have we got an itch for punching dudes with motion controllers right now.
